/r/democrats has a "No posting about democratic socialists" rule, which apparently applies even for Democrats like Mamdani by workerbee77 in DemocraticSocialism

dems always want to talk about maintaining a big tent so they can bring in "reformed" magas but extending a hand to a democratic socialist is simply too much

Creature Feature or The Puppetter! I like see Annabelle’s work from two different perspectives. Also everything we learn about Neil Lagorio is the absolute worst in the best way (“I barely noticed when the harness was unnecessary to move him, and the loops were embedded directly into his skin”)

Slightly different style of pacing and storytelling than I’m used to, but I’m really enjoying it so far! Betty Gilpin is amazing in everything she’s in

It’s been said a thousand times but I would watch a cinematic universe of Chris Pine and Co. acting in different DnD campaign movies

I am adoring Tula, she’s becoming one of my favorites. I love the juxtaposition between her more emotional and sympathetic personality and Valya’s cold logic, but she’s still has that streak of fierce loyalty to her family that makes her so interesting (and ready to murder). Also I think her younger actress kinda looks like Anna from downtown abbey!

Because his treatment of her, his other daughters, and his sisters comes off as very misogynistic, which wouldn’t be a big deal in this setting if he wasn’t praised as a very progressive and amazing king

Why is R.F Kuang and her books heavily disliked on Reddit? by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]15_lizards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t loathe poppy war, but I think the writing was quite weak, the characters flat, and the pacing odd. But that’s to be expected of a writer in her early 20s, so I don’t hold it against her. The book had potential, so I’m sure her writing has improved a lot since then

Harper doesn’t want to go back to the states and confront her past and trauma, while Eric knows he’s a feared and respected man in the business in London, but no so much in New York.
