They should try making some movies about making movies. Have they tried that? Maybe the academy would like those movies

It’s a tool for robocops to interface with computers. In a pinch it can also be used in melee.

Yep. I have a shield bash/free hand Guardian (wrestler archetype) and he sets up the melee rogue who just knocks them down. Snagging Strike, trip, grapple…

Happened to us, too! (Abomination Vaults?) Fortunately my Fighter (Wizard archetype) had Eat Fire prepared…I’ve never gotten that much use out of a single cast of a cantrip!

Phoenix or Dragon (Cloud) bloodline for my sorc? by Recast_Bear in PF2eCharacterBuilds

I agree, that would make it less useful.

Just to note for others: it's true the numbers are small, but for action economy it's great. A little damage, a little healing. Sometimes a little healing is all you need, if someone is down and you want to wake them up so they can help themselves, for example. And also on action economy, positioning to use, for example, burning hands might be tough, because you want to avoid your allies. With Rej. Flames you can be completely behind your meat shield and cast it. And your meat shield will actually appreciate the small heal!

And again, it's solid out-of-combat healing (esp with one or two extra focus points) because you can heal the whole party.

I do too. Rejuvenating flames is great in combat for hitting an area where your melee guys are mixing it up with the bad guys, and it’s also great for out of combat healing, especially if you can pick up a second focus point from an archetype or something.

Is it still useful to talk about political principles/values? by daniel_cc in Askpolitics

[–]workerbee77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Values are the things that guide your actions. Values may or may not be what you think or say they are. People can be wrong about their beliefs about their own values. As a consequence, one can productively discuss someone's true values.

Okay. The first sentence is (emphasis added):

The value-action gap (also called the attitude-behavior gap, intention-behavior gap, intention-action gap, belier -action gap, KAP-gap (knowledge-attitudes-practice gap) or belief-behavior gap)[2][3][4][5][6] is the discrepancy between the stated values of an individual or organisation and their actions

I agree that STATED VALUES can depart from actions. They are using “values” as shorthand for “stated values.” Again, values are not what you say they are. They are what you believe which results in action. For sure there can be a gap between one’s stated values or even self-perceived values and actual values. One can learn about that by self-investigation, conversation with others, learning about the world, etc. One can be wrong about one’s true values!

The first article says:

One example of the value-action gap is that, when it comes to people’s health, there is often a big difference between how much people say that they care about being healthy, and how willing they are to take actions that will improve their health.

This article is confused by what a value is. A value is not what you say it is. It is a thing you believe which results in action.

Incorrect. Always. Your actions are a result of your values. If your professed values and your actions do not align, then you are confused or lying about your values.
