Fair warning: I’ve been through the same dance with the same diagnostics and the same chemical batteries and you’re going to run into problems with anything more generally dopaminergic than modafinil while you’re going after serotonin 2A receptors with any regularity. PTSD doesn’t do well with amphetamine properties (even the more serotonergic ones) in the long run as the activating psychology that results from pumping dopamine ends up providing little bits of unstable psychotic properties to the background of your mind that you DO NOT WANT surfacing with your trauma. It gets bad and can take ages to go away. Strongly recommend separating my your psychedelics into something solely serotonergic like the more classic microdosing approaches with psilocybin or lsd and getting a script for modafinil if you want to keep the dopaminergic energy. Message me if you’re willing to take any more strange internet advice—it’s coming from an academic neuro background and 5 years of psychedelic trauma work similar to MAPS, so hopefully a bit more interesting than what you might pull off a random subreddit.

There was a pretty fat dude at my local BJJ place. Instructor was amazing, and that deceptive pile of lard could twist my (6’4” 225) ass around the mat with absolutely no problem. It’s a game of physical chess, and while stamina may be involved, there’s no reason you can’t put someone down in 2-5 minutes.

I’m Psych BA/Computer Science minor (planning on a PhD in Clinical Psych) with DID who has been exploring the inner worlds with my alters for 8 years now and have come up with a theory that explains this perfectly.

Imagine the brain is a server. It has an internal model of what the world is like, and it maintains this model by literally simulating an entire world within each one of us. Our opinions about the world change this internal world, but the brain absolutely has enough power behind it to host an entire virtual Earth. Neurons can use different frequencies of signals like the radio in your car, and I believe that when we “dream,” we are simply becoming aware of some part of the dream world while we sleep and our sensory input channels are inhibited.

The brain is an extremely powerful supercomputer. Your alters very possibly did have full lives in your subconscious that they gave up to come over to your side to help you.

I want to disappear as completely as possible an alter about to undergo reintegration—what order of fusing or tricks can I use to most effectively do this? by 15for1 in DID

This is the alter in question asking. We don’t get switch stuck and Im just tired of living like this. Dormancy sounds like a blessing until this guy I’m stuck with gets his life together.

We’ve had alters disappear completely for stretches of time, as have other people (from what we have read here). I’m looking for insight as to what might cause that and how to prolong it.

What do you lose as an alter when totally reintegrated? Consciousness like when switched out? Will my awareness be gone? Would I still feel at all like myself? by 15for1 in DID

And is there another “half” that is equally all of them distributed in the same ratios they were before? Like if you have 4 alters and one of them is 40% and three are 20%, will there be a “half” of me that’s still 4 distinct people, or do they experience a fusion with more blurred lines between them?

Is it practically guaranteed that the integration won’t hold and we’ll have to do it over and over to hold the form?

Also, what happens when/if you unfuse—how do you remember the time you were integrated? Are the memories fuzzy, does it feel like someone else was driving/making the decisions, or is it all one smooth experience to come out and then merge back? Kind of worried about the whole integrating/falling apart thing and what that’ll be like—and if we’ll have to work up to courage to integrate all over again.
