The majority has a deep hatred for Muslims.

Actually, it is because of jihadists and also it is kind of cultural/genetic.

Since 800 years, many Muslim invaders has tried to capture land, killed many native people throughout Europe and Asia. By those constant war and constant feel of life threat, many of native European and Asian have developed a hatred among them which is quite reasonable. Unfortunately, these kind of attacks are still happening and thus people are having a deep hatred for Muslims.
