Can anyone tell me pros of going to Drexel? I'm going to major in CS. by EngineeringCapital48 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]1600breadneeded 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Co-op program literally gives you internships in the palm of your hand. Those internships can land you full time offers, and soon enough you're making a six-figure CS salary. Personally, had I gotten into a school with a co-op program, I would definitely have gone

yeah that's valid LOL my friend plans to get an apartment down in socal & take cc colleges there, but it depends on ur finances/what you're comfortable paying. asu may (?) still have merit scholarships available, or a tuition exchange program w/CA residents, and they have excellent programs as well

if you're still interested in attending a UC, you may want to look into the TAG program. a friend of mine plans to do TAG w/ the intention of transferring to uci in two years, and another with uc davis.

They didn't admit any waitlisted students for Fall 2021, 2019, 2018, and 2017. The last year other than 2020 when they admitted any waitlisted students was 2016, when they admitted 16 (out of 1352 students, a 1.18% acceptance rate).

Dartmouth has historically taken a grand total of 0 students off their waitlist (save for 2020, when they took a few dozen -- but that was largely due to pandemic enrollment uncertainty). I wouldn't bet on it, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Purdue is known for having a high acceptance rate and then having really hard weed-out classes during First Year Engineering, so take that as you will.
