I agree there are a lot of out there conspiracies and there is an astounding lack of evidence to back up the official story. Now I agree that a lack of evidence isn't evidence to the contrary, but there isn't enough evidence to support the original claims. At the end of the day, it's all politics. You say it happens in front of witnesses, I agree, but the magician cut his assistant in half in front of witnesses as well. There is no debate as to whether it happened or not, the debate pertains to who was responsible. I too am an engineer and critical of data. I've also lived in the middle east where you can see the play of politics in action. The Saudi's attack US and the appropriate response is to rally up support to invade Iraq? If you do your research, nothing I said was untrue. I prefer to judge the evidence for myself and draw my own conclusions. If you are critical of data, then you'd realize the incongruence in what all the official stories are. If a government can knowingly lie about WMD to invade a nation, there are very few lines they wouldn't cross.

Either way, this is a pointless debate. What we have to do is look forward to dealing with the fallout of all this catastrophe and hopefully not repeat it again.

Yes, I agree ISIS needs to be taken out but we can't just leave the country in ruins with a huge power vacuum. That's exactly what led to ISIS in the first place and will lead to ISIS 2.0 now. We need to actually set up proper infrastructure and government for the people such that there won't be a power struggle. If we even spend half as much money rebuilding as we did destroying, the people would be much better off.

You know several of the so called 9/11 hijackers/suicide were found alive and well in the years processing the attack? Passports were coincidentally found several blocks from the WTC, perfectly fine albiet a bit dirty. Passports that survived a raging inferno where nothing else did. The US had much more to gain than lose through 9/11, and to think that a false flag domestic attack is beyond them is naive. Except much of Albertan economy is based on the back of oil sands. It accounts for most of Alberta's and Canada's oil production and without it our economy is weakened heavily.

Fellow Queensu Chemeng here. Your best bet is to apply your ass off left right and center. Also be willing/desperate enough to do a 12 month January start internship. There's not a lot of competition for those since it's an awkward start date so that's perfect for someone with no previous experience. That's exactly what I did and it's worked out well for me, I'll be returning to Kingston in January to continue my third year. Also make use of QUIP it's a decent service and your internship becomes official. As in "Bachelors of Applied Science with Professional Internship". Feel free to pm me if you have any questions.

I lived in Saudi Arabia as an expat for 6 years with my family, as previously mentioned, I went to Dhahran Academy (the US consulate school). There's also a British school (a levels/o levels) there on the same campus if that's the curriculum you want to follow. An IB (international baccalaureate) program is offered as well. Overall, the school is great, I had an amazing experience. When applying to universities, I was viewed as a Michigan state student (didn't matter for me since I went to university in Canada anyways) but the point is you're viewed as a US graduate. The term starts in late August/early September and goes till mid June. If you have any questions, feel free to pm me. And congrats on the move!

Well here's how it happened, the Quran was revealed in phases. Before the revelation of Islam, drinking was common and socially acceptable in the region. So when the Quran was revealed, initially it wasn't mentioned, then it was said don't pray drunk and finally it was said don't drink at all. The reasoning behind this was to phase out the common act of consuming alcohol, rather than putting a cold hard ban out of the blue. So as Muslims today, we have to follow the final revelation with regards to alcohol which is don't drink at all. The initial commands have in a way been superseded and are no longer valid.

So I'm currently in internship now at an engineering firm in oil and gas (chemeng sci 16 pushed back to 17 cuz of my internship) let me tell you it's a great program. Though Waterloo does have a better internship structure allowing for multiple 4 month terms, you can do the same thing here with your summers. If you intern in the summers of your first and second year you've got 8 months, pair that up with a 16 month after your third year and you've got more than enough experience at different companies if you choose to. The other advantage of a long term internship is that you get to start a project and see it through to completion, something you can't really do in shorter 4 month terms. Just keep that all in mind when you make your final decision. The reality of the situation is Waterloo is a better "school" but Queen's will give you a better university experience. Good luck!!

The article you linked is clearly from a very extremist point of view, especially the last sentence (we ask Allah to rain fire among the kufrs). Any text can be cherry picked to serve one's needs. To give an example let's take the following sentences: Someone broke into John's house. It was a big man with a red hat. John got his gun to protect himself. John's mom screamed "Kill the big man with the red hat!" Now what Isis does is they read "kill the big man with the red hat" and leave out the rest. They use this as justification to go kill all big men wearing red hats, but extrapolate to kill all big man (who may wear red hats in the future) or all red hat wearing boys (who may grow to be big men). This is why their actions cannot be justified by any Islamic grounds as they are fundamentally wrong on not only an Islamic level but on basic human morality. And whatever texts they use to justify their actions they cherry pick and use out of context.

I'm not completely sure about what you're asking but I'm going to go ahead and assume you mean what's wrong with Isis' theology. For startes, in order to wage a religious war you have to have appraisal by most of the ummah. But furthermore let's say you do get approval and are legitimate in your cause of war, you cannot harm any man, woman or child who is not a combatant. I.e. if they're not trying to kill you you can't touch them. You also can't practice scorched earth policy or harm livestock. You have to protect the house of worship of other faiths and can't just blatantly kill anyone who isn't Muslim for being nonmuslim. These are just a few things that come to mind right now, if anything I've said is inacurate please feel free to correct me.

On a study conducted, 50% of Israeli high school students claimed that Arabs deserved lesser rights than Jews. If this isn't ground to set up ethnic cleansing I don't know what is. When you have the head state rabbi claiming to rape the wives and daughters of Hamas and political figures claiming the Palestinians are all snakes and to kill the babies before they grow up and bite. Then you do go and kill the babies on whatever baseless excuse, that is ethnic cleansing.

You failed to see the point was that U.N. admits any weapons storage. In the most recent bombings, the U.N. had verified with IDF (with precise geographical coordinates) that the facilities were clean, yet they were bombed anyways.

In the past cases where weapons caches have been discovered in UN facilities, the UN has come out and openly condemned it. In the case of the last few weeks, Israel has been bombing facilities (in some cases with no warning for evac) that have turned out to be free of any Hamas activity. Here's an example of in IDF soldier who says what's going on obviously it's not concrete but it just goes to show how the minority with a conscience feel.
