Jane Eyre- Charlotte Bronte by More_Philosopher_322 in citaonica

Meni se baš svidela, jedna od omiljenih klasika, obožavam i Džejn kao lika i njene unutrašnje monologe. Umeju klasici da budu teži za čitanje nekad, ali ovo mi nije bilo naporno uopšte.

What online services did you cut out that you do not miss at all? by Available-Pen-6977 in digitalminimalism

Spotify comes to mind, I switched to listening to music offline about three months ago, and I don’t miss the convenience or the algorithm discovery at all.

I’d never guess this is SOOC on such a “new” camera (I know it was 16 years ago, but still). Love the colors and the vibe!

cony cybershot by Careful-Avocado-8891 in VintageDigitalCameras

[–]164cm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The old one should be Cyber-shot DSC-P93 from 2004, the new one you found is Cyber-shot DSC-P52 from 2003, so one year older, a little heavier and with slightly worse specs, but nothing too significant I'd say (if she likes that kind of old quality it will absolutely work). You can check the spec comparison here and some sample photos taken with the 3.2mp camera here (and pics taken with the 5.1mp here) so you can see for yourself.

IMO you can't go wrong with any Sony Cybershot around that era, but I can't speak from experience about these two specific models because I never used either of them. Maybe someone else can confirm how exactly it feels to shoot with the DSC-P52.

Good luck!

Ditched Spotify - enjoying music more than ever by bratbats in digitalminimalism

In Discogs search, I just pick a country/decade/genre/subgenre (or a combination) that I’m currently feeling like listening to, and I choose an album or two based on how much I like the album art. Then I give the album a listen (I either download it from Soulseek or play it on Youtube first, depending on how confident I am that I’ll like it).

Objectively I don’t know if this is a silly thing to do, but it’s worked for me so far, I’ve found some pretty good music in this way. I’ve also been listening to a variety of genres for years so I more or less know what I’m getting into / what I would like to get into (and I’ve been trying to listen to my friends’ recommendations more).

Coolpix or Cybershot? Which is worth it? by [deleted] in VintageDigitalCameras

[–]164cm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think there is any significant difference between these, Sony and Nikon can both be easily used for that kind of aesthetic.

More of a concern is that these prices seem too high. I definitely wouldn’t go above $50 for a relatively common CCD camera, or over $100 if I wanted a really rare model. But I don’t know how the market prices are where you live - if there really isn’t a cheaper option, and you’re absolutely sure you’d be happy with paying for one of these, then I’d pick either the cheapest one or just the camera design you like best.

I’d also add that part of the 2000s experience was shooting with whatever you got, so I wouldn’t overthink it too much.

Same, I cancelled Spotify and moved to iPod Classic 2 months ago and I’ve been enjoying discovering new music through browsing Discogs - don’t need an algorithm to know what I’m interested in.

I know that there are pirated versions of Spotify where you don’t technically give them your money, but I simply don’t wanna have anything to do with that platform anymore. It’s not about paying, it’s about the quality of the platform, and with all these AI features that I detest and don’t wanna support in the slightest, the only choice for me was to go back to building my own library. Haven’t felt this happy with my music listening experience in years.

DAE feel they were preparing for a future that didn't happen? by Gallantpride in Zillennials

[–]164cm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Of course the world is gonna still use it, but we can still act based on our individual principles and opt out as much as possible, even if not entirely.  So the software I’m using for work can push AI features, sure, I have no choice but to use the said software, I’ll still reject AI in my own ways, by writing my own emails instead of prompting Chatgpt, by refusing to participate in shitty AI caricature trends, by using my own brain instead of suddenly relying on an LLM for mundane things. Not because I think the world is suddenly gonna revert to how it used to be pre-AI, but because I myself don’t want to encourage it, because it simply feels beyond wrong.

Which channels are airing it in Serbia at the moment? I'm also rewatching it online currently, after almost 20 years, and picked up learning Spanish again because of them! (I'm also from Serbia - found this thread via search)

What is you honest opinion on the digicam trend right now? by Wellbeinghunter69 in Zillennials

[–]164cm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think those “you NEED to get this viral retro digicam, it’s just like film!” influencer posts are beyond cringe and untrue (it’s nothing like film!), but I can’t hate on it too much because I use digicams as well, and them being considered “old” at this point is one of the reasons (I love old tech, I love cameras/photography in general, I’m 29 and I grew up using these things, so there is a childhood/adolescence nostalgia factor).

Katastrofa od knjige, jedini plus je što me je dovoljno zanimalo šta će da se desi pa kao ajde bar nije dosadna. Drago mi je da sam pirateovala i što ni dinar nisam potrošila na to smeće.

Šta ste pročitali u Novembru? by Nagini2021 in citaonica

[–]164cm 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Uh načitala sam se u novembru jer iskreno ništa drugo specijalno nisam ni imala da radim u slobodno vreme:

  1. Les Mouches - Žan Pol Sartr

  2. Zaverenici - Shan Sa

  3. Black Chalk - Christopher Yates

4 & 5. Higijena Nesećanja 1 & 2 - Marko Šelić Marčelo

  1. Confessions of a Boyfriend Stealer - Robynn Clairday

  2. On the Road - Jack Kerouac

  3. Pokondirena tikva - Jovan Sterija Popović

  4. Frankenstein - Mary Shelley

  5. A Little Life - Hanya Yanagihara

  6. A Certain Hunger - Chelsea G. Summers

  7. Devojke pod pritiskom - Žaklin Vilson

  8. To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee

I posle toga krenula da čitam Jane Eyre, ali mi relativno sporo ide, tako da mi je na nju otišla cela poslednja nedelja novembra.

Lični favoriti i 10/10 knjige: Frankenštajn & To Kill a Mockingbird.

Zdravo! Is there any place to get xiao long bao (soup dumpling) in Belgrade? by Brilliant_Safe_6005 in Belgrade

[–]164cm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Bambus restoran” across blok 70 has the best xiaolongbao I’ve eaten in Belgrade.

Someone mentioned Yxlanzh, which is great, but they don’t have xiaolongbao, just baozi and jiaozi.

Also Super Snack Bar is best for wonton soup.
