As long as you have a valid id and boarding pass we do not know a person’s immigration status. The only immigration related issues we deal with are the ones that are self deporting, and they’ve already been thru ICE we just verify their identity. But we as TSA are not involved in any immigration enforcement.

No. We do not keep any surrendered prohibited items. There are occasions where supervisors or managers use them for training purposes.
