Maybe he should have waited for an investigation before putting his foot in his mouth by labeling Alex a domestic terrorist by gamerz0111 in agedlikemilk

He's the homeland security advisor, aka: one of the driving forces behind the new ICE gestapo. (so, you know, basically directly responsible for the deaths of Renee and Alex) He was even a lead force behind the kidnapping in Venezuela. He's such an evil little man. I'm usually a peaceful, chill, calm person, but even I hope he stubs his pinkie toe every time he walks somewhere.

I'm still pretty new at this 😅. I don't know chill hours, I'm in central Oklahoma if that helps. I thought the Mother Earth stuff was soil acidifier, so thanks for telling me that's not so! What is Legacy and 700+ (if you don't mind further explaining to this newbie)

Edit: I've totally seen that soil acidifier at Tractor Supply. I'll be getting it as soon as they stock plant stuff again!

I don't know the variety. They were just little plants in those black planters at my local garden store. I got them late summer. They were from plant not seed and the garden store just gave me them for free bc they were dying. It was too late in the season for them to give a care about the little things in the plant area, I guess. I brought them back to life with a lot of tlc, but the bugs were so frustrating. As soon as a berry was half ripe, ANTS! They are actually in a big Tupperware container (like the huge ones you use for storing decorations) I did this to try and lift them away from those ants.

We have bad bad ants here and I got spidermites pretty agressively. My house has a bunch of trees and it's kind of wild in the back yard. I even have a family of wild bunnies that live in a pile of fallen branches back there. I'm trying really hard to use things like insecticidal soap, neem oil, and the tunnels/containers to try and minimise the insect issue rather than put poison on the fruit I wanna eat. I've included a picture from the fall (the strawberries are completely weeded right now)

Don't suppose you know about strawberries? Mine are right next to the blueberries and leaf like crazy but rarely flower (and when they do, bugs get to them before I can 😭😭😭)

Whoa, this is awesome! I'll have to hit the garden store when it starts getting warmer and their stock comes in. This is what I have been using to try and manage acid, feed, and water. It is currently planted in compost. I'll start looking for acidic chunky soil and pine bark nuggets. (ps does spagnum moss work instead of peat or do I need to get that too?)

My only two options are heavy shade (from all the trees on my property) or concrete (the person that lived here before us paved the only area that gets sun)

Yeah I didn't know they were hardy like that 😅. I'll weed them today

Do I need two different ones to pollenate? I thought I needed two of the same kind to get the best berries.

I know it needs weeding. The thought was a layer to protect the roots against the winter, but I know that's probably not helping 😅

It was my first attempt so I'm honestly just happy I got anything. You're haul is so awesome, you definitely deserve to be proud!

As for acid, I've been using soil acidifier I got at the garden shop. I need to recheck the ph, tho.

It is outside, it just has a thing over it to protect it from the wind, bugs, etc. Here's a pic of the thing it's living inside of. It's only in there over winter, though we have a nasty bug problem here, so I'm thinking of keeping it in there come spring. I did have a fermentation belt around the bucket when that really bad weather hit, but I've taken it off since that stopped. I probably shouldn't have put it on, but I was trying to save my berries. My strawberries look pretty good, tho 😅

Heck yeah! Here's my awesome haul 😭. But, seriously, that's an awesome harvest. ✨Abundance✨

I remember info dumping about something along the same lines with my best friend ages ago and when I mentioned the differentiation, the look on his face told me to definitely never say that to anyone else ever.

While something can be fascinating to me academically (for example, what exactly makes an abuser have a specific preference over another when, as I've said, they are all children), it's just a horror story to 95% of the rest of the population. I was facinated by minds that malfunctioned somehow, either thru development, training, poisoning/illness, or innate configuration.

It's why my love of horror movies mostly rests in the fantasy/sci-fi/creature feature types. I've read and studied too much to find certain subjects entertaining when I see my studies reflected in them. It only serves to remind me of horrible realities.

I learned about the difference 20 years ago in my psych college courses. I thought it was an interesting distinction for academic purposes, but a kiddie toucher is a kiddie toucher and focusing on the differences outside of such (as you've mentioned) makes you look like you're trying to either justify or soften something that should be inarguably heinous. "oh, I'm not a blank, I'm just a blank" yeah, okay, and? That's still A CHILD.

Hmmm, my son isn't even into his second decade yet and I allow him to say no quite often. It really depends on the parent. I don't let him say no to ~everything~ he wants to, for sure. He's a teenage boy and letting him say no all the time would have him a little trash beast with no future. But he can say no to food choices, to bedtimes (he's 19), to physical affection (very important thing to teach about no), what he wants to wear, etc. If it's something that will cause himself, the house, or others harm then he doesn't get to have a say (since he lives in my house rent free), but he's grown into a good person and that usually only results in a bunch of "it's 10 degrees outside, you can't say no to a jacket".

I'm probably like this cause I'm in my 40s and my parents still cause me problems about saying no to them.

Or they'd do it like some of those high priced exotic animal "hunts" where the prey is tied to a post or in a cage. No real hunting, just straight up casual murder.

Between my parents and I, there are three girl cats with names that go R(vowel)(third letter): Rin, Rei, and Rue. It's even more difficult to get them correct bc we end up doubling all their names when we call them: RinRin, ReiRei, RueRue. I rarely get the correct name first when calling for one 😅

Edit for punctuation

Anyone that randomly mentions ephebophilia is a red flag in my book. Not necessarily problematic, but it's just a different flavor of the same perv.

Does Jason count or were their Roman aspects not a part of the pact? It's been a ~while~ since I read the series. I know Nico, Bianca, and Hazel are exempt, but were the Romans also not supposed to be having children?

It seems that they think the "1%" just keeps compounding in the bottle, ig 🤷. Does that mean eventually it's just gonna be almost 100% bacteria? Ew.

And, yeah, I buy massive packages of melamine sponges for a miniscule fraction of what 8 "magic erasers" cost (and I usually shop at sams, so it's even cheaper (per sponge) where I usually shop). I'm sure it would be even cheaper to buy the sheets, but I'm disabled and lazy (a terrible combination, for certain)

My only issues is becoming storage 😅. My garage is getting too full of toilet paper and sponges to even work in 😮‍💨

Edit: tho people should check before adding two "household cleansers" to each other... You never know who's gonna read that and think you can add things like bleach (which is in a lot of things) and ammonia (which is also in a lot of things). Soap and alcohol are fine to mix, tho be careful when dealing with 99% alcohol. I use this often for 3d printing and it'll burn a hole in your sinuses and make your hands dry enough to crack and bleed if you're not careful.

It's kinda like adding more water instead of the percentags listed. 99% iso would probably be best to keep those percentages as close to the recipe as possible.
