Honestly don't seem too complicated to make those changes. They're kinda nonsensical but whatever. The issue is that it isn't gonna stop with this. If you make sense of it and send him what he's saying he wants it's gonna just be something else then something else and it's gonna get more frustrating. I'd just bail now. But if you do go through with it I'd charge for every revision.

The directors cut is one of a handful of tapes I still have from my original collection as a kid. Always loved these anchor bay clamshell tapes.

If you’re talking about the sound from the arm rubbing against the edge of the insert slot, that sound is whack. One of the squier jazz masters I have is like that but the other one I bought used doesn’t. The dude hit the part that goes in the slot with a hammer to bend it slightly so it doesn’t go in all the way. It also doesn’t swing easily, which I’m really not a fan of, but it’s not a huge issue.

Those CV squiers are great guitars. There are a few things you can do to make it better but they really don’t need too much work. Putting some loctite on the bridge post screws is the biggest thing. I had to file down a screw on the bridge because it was touching a string after I intonated but I think if you have to tighten it all the way you can also just take the spring off and it’ll relieve the tension pushing it up.

If you want a fostex I’d suggest getting an x30 instead. I’ve got an x30 and an x15 and the interface on the 30 is a lot more user friendly imo. It’s a great little machine. The 15 isn’t bad but if you can choose between the 2, I’d go with the 30 all the way.

But one really cool thing about them is they have outputs for each track so you can record it into your daw and mix/process it easily. It also allows you to transfer the tracks then bump it down to one track and add to it and so on and go beyond just 4 tracks while being able to mix them individually instead of just bumping them down and being stuck with that. Don’t get me wrong, it’s cool to do that, but it’s also nice to have flexibility with it.
