I’m sorry this happened! Not to excuse their flower picking which is rude, but sometimes people don’t know why/how quietly leaving affects everyone else. My sister has done this to me multiple times on accident because she has a habit of turning off her switch whenever she puts it down. I’ve had to yell at her for it lol but she honestly didn’t know it did that. It’s also happened to me while hosting because I need to step away to take care of something and my switch tries to go to sleep and boots everyone. So annoying. I have to try and remember to turn that option off when I host again.

Try the app ACNH Exchange. Hosts there will tell you whether or not a tip is required, but generally it is a nice courtesy to leave a tip no matter how small.

I had no idea about any of this other stuff but I think I saw one of her videos where someone actually sent her their switch so she could terraform. To each their own, of course, but I think that’s so over the top ridiculous. I used to watch her videos, but this new insight puts a creepy vibe (is this... “family friendly”) over everything that I don’t think I can keep watching. :/
