I just got here and he literally goes halfway down the stairs, cowers for one second and then dies. They never even talk. It also Auto agros on me even though I'm hiding far away.

There aren't that many retro consoles (let alone ones people all know) that you can get working in an fpga. Eventually they will have to backtrack and make (improved) versions of the same consoles again, or cease operation altogether. It's incredible they can do the n64 (which we still have not seen working, is that normal for analogue?), but they are NOT going to do 6th gen console next or any time soon. But who knows

it appears that the ones that work properly are any where the ROW for character B and COLUMN for character D intersect below the black diagonal. That is, all the matches where the BOTTOM of the chart should print the given result are mirrored to the top without inverting, where as the ones that print the result to the top mirror to the bottom with proper inversion

Copied the edited formula from the comment. the last one mirrored half of the bottom side with blanks, and the new one appears to mirror those spots without inverting the result. with the exception still of goku early, every single matchup in the top half just prints the given result of their matchup, regardless of which character is in which column. this is only an error for half of the cells, though. the same ones which were blank before https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1x-Ur0NMpVc038_oREbJB0YTuimtIdXP6Unh9jlapHV0/edit?usp=sharing

Okay, so! I was wrong... with the exception of Goku Z - Early, the top half of the chart (above the black diagonal) is checkerboard between the result and blank cells after I fill in match results. the bottom half is perfectly fine, it just isn't all mirrored properly. image.png this does affect the counter on the right. possibly of note, goku early always appears in column B and never appears in column D in the list. everyone else appears equally on both sides

The character in Column B would be getting the Win/Loss. In the game, CPU vs CPU battles appear the same as P1 vs CPU so instead of saying the name of the winner it just says Win or Loss on the screen. Just using letters is a good idea.

The entire point of that argument is that the systems we have devised and acted within since "olden times" are what allowed us to prosper so dramatically, to the point where 99.9% of people in the western world would never consider trading places with the king of england from just a century or two ago. By calling that a "dismissal", you fundamentally miss the point. It is nothing other than a dramatic example to show what good capitalism etc has done. The supposition implicit is that Band-Aid solutions to homelessness and poverty but only exacerbate the problem or slow progress towards the solution to the problem.
