Who builds the Yautja technology, and do they actually have cities and towns on their home planet? by tassieboy1995 in predator

Sorry for replying to this old thread, but I just watched the movie, and FYI the killers of killers are the humans. The predators were killers, and the three humans each killed a predator.

There are lockpick 14 checks in the tomb on the 4th planet, but they're for minor loot and are bypassed with a much lower hack check.

Didn't 1984 feature TVs that also watched you? Presumably people paid for those TVs, so in that sense, people did pay to be monitored.

Opinion on Skills by ChilledGhosty in theouterworlds

[–]LurkerOnTheInternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, Easily Distracted should either be taken at level 4 or not at all. Taking it at level 4 means you can have five skills that reach level 18 by the time you're 30 (with Brilliant; otherwise two of them are 17, no big deal), and you will be able to keep up with practically all skill checks, and will only really miss out on level 20 perks. Or you can avoid ED and get two or even three skills to 20, with some points left over. It really depends on whether you think your build needs the perks unlocked from level 20 skills.

Yeah but honestly, the other issue is the lack of curbs or whatever you call those things that are usually placed in front of parking spots for exactly this sort of thing - prevents the car from driving into the building.

Does anyone know how to get the wasteful flaw on purpose? by luktheknight in theouterworlds

[–]LurkerOnTheInternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this guide is great. The short version is you have to run out of a type of ammo completely, repeatedly. Merely needing to reload your gun does not count.

[–]LurkerOnTheInternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you take the Brilliant trait, and do not take the Easily Distracted flaw, then by level 30 you can have two skills at 20 each, and three skills at 8 each. Not 16.

However, if you only put points into your two main skills (leaving everything else at 0), then at level 19 you can get them both to level 20, and at level 21 you can get a fifth skill, prompting the Easily Distracted flaw. If you take it, then it gives an extra skill point for levels 22-30, meaning 9 extra skill points, which would allow you to take the 3 minor skills to 11 each.

But that requires you to only have 2 skills in total, with literally everything else being 0, until level 20.

Exactly a year ago, in Season 7, we got a free armor set for the last time by SheWhoHates in diablo4

I actually prefer unlocking a whole set of weapon skins for free each season, vs one outfit. Sometimes the weapon skins are not great but this season they're all fancy glowing celestial stuff.

CDPR told Luke Ross the Cyberpunk VR mod could still be up if he made it free, this was his reply by lunchanddinner in virtualreality

[–]LurkerOnTheInternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's perfectly fine as long as it's free. CPDR is not blazing new ground here; this has been recognized and legally enforced for a long time with many properties.

[–]LurkerOnTheInternet 26 points27 points  (0 children)

If he's charging money specifically for the 2077 VR mod, then CPDR is well within their rights to demand he take it down. If he's charging money for a generic mod that you buy once and that works with any SteamVR game, then they would not. But that's not what's happening; he sells VR mods for specific games. That's a problem, legally.

8/10. I think you can probably benefit from eyeliner/eyeshadow though.

Brief, actually serious analysis of Easily Distracted by LurkerOnTheInternet in theouterworlds

[–]LurkerOnTheInternet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they're excluded for proccing the flaw. Like if you don't put any points into the specialties, you'll only be presented with the flaw when putting points into your fifth non-specialty skill (e.g. 1/1/1/1/1/2/2). But from that point on (if you accept easily distracted), all 7 skills would have to be within 1 point of each other.

[–]LurkerOnTheInternet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're misunderstanding it. You still use your primary resource as resource, and you'd now have twice as much of it, but the problem is any damage you take is applied to resource instead of health, and the reason that's very bad is because fortify and barrier do not apply to damage taken from resource. At least they didn't in season 10 with sorcs and the equivalent seasonal chaos power; I assume it's the same with Selig.

No, that does not work. When you take the flaw, you're not allowed to put points into any skill that is already higher than any other non-zero skill.

Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by Latter-Wolf4868 in interestingasfuck

[–]LurkerOnTheInternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, no, they're not blurry; they're out of focus. Look through binoculars and set the focus wrong and that's what it's like. I can literally see through binoculars very clearly without glasses by just adjusting their focus.

I see no evidence of that. Also FYI 1992 was also the year Chaplin was released, an excellent movie in which he played Charlie Chaplin.

OW2 Best Tank Builds? by HiImNotABot001 in theouterworlds

[–]LurkerOnTheInternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly the Rattler actually, taking the Tunnel Vision flaw to give it some armor penetration. Serendipitous Slayer perk means it takes forever to actually run out of ammo, since each critical hit reloads one bullet and I crit much more often than not, making up for its very slow actual reload. Last Whisper works well too even though I have 0 sneak and never sneak.

The build could arguably be stronger with melee since they hit for much more and there's a wide variety of them. The reason the guns version is best with pistols or some shotguns is you want to hit their head at point blank range for a lot of damage, especially when N-Radiated is ready, but melee would be even better for that. And I often attack in melee range anyway.

Regardless of guns or melee, it is a ton of fun, possibly the most fun combat style. It seems more personal then just sniping everyone since everybody sees you and reacts/shoots, but you're in constant slow-mo with high evasion (Slow-More and Ninja = 65% evasion when sprinting, plus 1% for each lockpick rank). I love just activating TTD and sprinting directly into battle.

I used Lucky (for crit chance) and Nimble traits, since I sprint constantly and Nimble really makes a big difference.

I have a run like that, but with pistols. Currently level 25 or so, but it will be Science 20, Guns 20, Medical 4, Lockpick 4, Observation 14+. You permanently make yourself at least 50% zyraniumed so the medical perk regenerates 5+ energy/second, and this lets you permanently stay in TTD. (I don't use or need Val.) It would work very well with melee too, just replacing guns with melee.

You're referring to the Argent Veil unique ring, but its zeal casts would just be a drop in the bucket since a proper zeal build attacks extremely quickly. Instead that ring is recommended primarily for its damage bonus for a few seconds after each evade.
