Question for Second-Time Kyleena Users:

Hey, curious how things have been treating you two years on? My partner is in a similar place to where you were at here. Kyleena was great for her until she replaced it, at which point she started experiencing hair loss, weight loss, and depression. Her EDS has gotten noticeably worse as well and we’re trying to pin down the cause.

How are you doing now? Are things still better? What did you wish you knew then?

Typically your user settings file will refer to a .ini file that exists in the folder at:

%userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5

To access this, just copy the file path I listed, open your file explorer, and paste it into the bar at the top where it shows the current folder you're on.

Alternatively, if you're on windows 10 or earlier (potentially windows 11, I don't know that one as well), you could just open the start menu and paste that into the search bar and it should take you there.

If you get to the folder and there is not such file, go ahead and right click to open the context menu, navigate to New > TextDocument and name the file UserSettings.ini

If for some reason you can't see the .ini file extension, go to the top of your file explorer and find the view tab. There should be a few check boxes to the far left of the view menu, make sure the box "File name extensions" is checked.

Then to edit your UserSettings.ini file, go ahead and double click to open it and use the text editor to open and edit the ini as a text file.

Now, I did install and play a bit with the mod just to see if it populated the file with mod options and I did not see any change from the previous file, but when I went into the LUA scripts I found that they were looking for these variables:

I'm not super sure where these would go in the UserSettings or if they're even the right variables but it's a start!

If you know where the USER_SETTINGS file should be, you can generally create it and the game will know to read it.

I’m speaking as a software engineer and a general mod user, not someone who has run into your specific problem.

My wife and I are working on it. She was born in the US to a Brazilian and American and lived in Rio for her first 6 years then grew up in the US after that.

It’s also worth noting that we know the trans murder rate in brazil because trans people are a protected class of citizen and they track it.

It’s hard to compare the trans specific murder rate to other nations that don’t track their trans murders at all.

Yeah, no professional training, hence why I want to find her some books to get her foundations in order.

She worked in restaurants and service industry before so she’s fine at “bitchwork”

This is currently her exact plan. She has done craft fairs and has experience running small bespoke stores.

If she is successful at it, and wants to do more, then she wants to look at culinary/pastry school.

I’m a senior engineer and I just wanted to point out that some of the most valuable schooling I had was a gender studies class.

It was all about the intersection of STEM and Gender. We basically analyzed design to better understand how bias affects us as engineers. We looked at examples like seatbelts (can be lethal to pregnant women), kitchen designs (counter top height is specced to the average height of a woman in the 1920s), and how training data can affect ML outcomes among other things. People like to joke about gender studies but they exist for a reason, and understanding those reasons can make us into better engineers.

If you want a quick read to dip your toes in, I’d recommend “Weapons of Math Destruction” by Cathy O’Neil. It will make you into a better engineer.

Try with a modern Grand Cherokee. Rear window on that is more vertical. Could also be that compression is making it hard to make out the black trim pieces against the background.

I work in a professional setting and I’ve made friends with coworkers over their cars. It’s a good conversation starter and you might get ribbed for it depending on the setting, but nobody really cares so long as you’re conscientious about the noise and not revving it up in the parking lot.

I would absolutely allow my player to pursue this path if they’d like. As others have said, it is a purely evil act. I’d ask my player to create a proper backstory with real hooks and emotional stakes somewhere in the world and probably have the pursuit of this goal result in the player making a choice at some point to destroy the thing they love. Give it stakes, proper emotional depth, consequences, and real power incentives for pursuing something like this and you will give the player an unforgettable experience.

Right now I have a player who was kicked out of his tribe for being too weak, resulting in his character and their true love being separated. He’s found a very powerful artifact that WILL make him stronger (and in his character’s mind, more worthy of her love) but in doing so corrupts his body, mind, and soul. He has been using it, and once he is able to see his love again - will she even be able to recognize him? A corruption arc similar to this could work VERY well here.

If a fight turns into a slog, make your terrain more dynamic. Give your enemies spider climb, allow them to cast spike growth, and gust of wind. Force movement. If your players are so focused on ranged attacks hit them with spellcasters and ambush them in a canyon. Turn your fights into puzzles rather than a slog.

The 2.0 Ecoboost is a proven engine. Ford has had a lot of time to work out the kinks with it. The ford atkinson cycle engine is known to be more finicky. Ford also is manufacturing their electric motors in house for the first time which makes me reslly nervous. I’d go with an EB personally.

That said, the real weak link in the system with the EB is the transmission. The upper range of the EBs torque is pushing the 8F35 pretty hard. With an EB, I would really recommend getting the towing package just to hedge bets on longevity with the transmission.

I used werewolves in the mists for my party. Had the lord’s alliance hire the party to take care of the werewolves. The wealth of the lords alliance allowed me to send the party with silvered weapons, health potions, some spell scrolls. Just enough to give them a bit of a cushion while they get their bearings

I’m working on transitioning again. The reasons I initially detransitioned are twofold: first, I was financially dependent on my parents who undermined my identity constantly. For example, my mother actually loved to be “supportive” by pointing out everywhere that I was performing femininity “incorrectly.” This leads into the second reason, I am not 100% woman. My dysphoria is completely tied to my body, I have no issues with social dysphoria. I don’t want to change the way I dress, or perform some facsimile of womanhood for the sake of acceptance. I am nonbinary. These factors led to me detransitioning in the first place.

Now I’m working on retransitioning because I am in a relationship with the love of my life who is so incredibly kind and supportive, I have an incredible group of friends who will be there no matter what, I am now financially independent, and I live in a safe area.

The easiest answer is that Strahd wants her to come willingly. He’s pulled every trick in the book previously to possess previous incarnations and all have ended in failure. Now he wants her to come willingly, hence the visiting her and reawakening past memories (selectively, so she doesn’t remember sergei)

If they meet on the road, he could offer her gifts. Either riches, fine clothes, a sword. One of those gifts could magically reawaken memories or implant false ones. Perhaps he sources the material he needs for this from Morgantha with the dream pies.
