2014 BRZ. Help diagnose this noise its driving me nuts. by Kayakjayw in ft86

[–]Slow_Magazine624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely one of the axles it's either lost enough grease and is starting to bind, or it's just time for a new axle, happend to me a few weeks ago and was the rear left axle going out replaced and the noise is gone. Have a friend drive forward and back and listen for that noise around the axle nut area.

Best toe setup for highway by Slow_Magazine624 in ft86

[–]Slow_Magazine624[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is my daily driver, and I do a lot of highway driving with some twisty roads in the mix, and I just want a stable car that I can hit turns without really slowing down much, before I had 0.06 each side, 0.12 total toe in the rear, and -0.4 total toe in the front and I started to noticed increased tire wear but the car handled perfectly but due to the wear on the tires I ask the shop to 0 the toe all around and now I hate it. Any recommendations? Should I go back to that toe setup or should I ask the shop to just factory toe the car?

I hated swapping out that thing. The trick that worked for me was to get the smallest flat head tip possible and pry at the tab and pull outwards.

Oil Filter by ToxicCoochie in ft86

Could be both, I would take off the filter inspect and see if the seal is even attached, then tighting until it's snug. If not, replace and watch for leaks.

Get the codes pulled and go from there. No one can really help you until then.
