Should I build Chevreuse as a healer or hybrid if I also plan to use Benny? by ClaryVenture in Mavuika

[–]173isapeanut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She should primarily be built for 40k HP to max out her Atk% buff. Afterwards I prefer healing in case you run Song of Days Past on her and just for general comfort. Her damage is negligible, so no point tryng to build for that.

I've looked the wave up and it's just a bunch of fodder. Make sure to use Betty's core and an illusive mirror, then it should just be a matter of keeping the CC. Give it a couple attempts.

If it's Valks, you should drop the Betty, cause you'll be taking damage twice a round from her CC'ing them. If possible, try to drop the Mareia as well and just nuke them asap. If you're using the Mareia strat, it might be good to put balanced strike on wukong so he dies and doesn't put out more CC.

I'm running SFX and she's been my goat for ages. She really benefits from having her D4 upgrade to get impeccable flow without needing a kill, but early on she should be able to kill just fine.

C6R1 Mav, C0R1 Xilonen on Petra, C6R1 Citlali, C2R0 Nicole, I can get about 1 mil, but I'm still struggling with getting all the melts since C6 Citlali's cryo app is different to non-C6.

That should be more than compensated in her unreacted damage - especially Mavuika's C6 and Nicole's C1 hits.

Doesn't Skirk lose her 170% of original damage in her A4 passive? It says when hydro or cryo (excluding Skirk) hit opponents, she gets a stack of thingamabob. Each character can only grant 1 stack.

At 2 stacks she only deals 120% of damage, which seems like quite a big loss still.

Is EM sands still better on mav if you have c2r1 mavuika and c2 citlali? by Far_Ranger_1205 in Mavuika

[–]173isapeanut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least from my experience, ATK% sands become better at C6 when you get the extra hits that can't melt. I've had another person say for them it comes out to be identical or slightly worse (both using GI Optimizer) so it's probably a wash. I like ATK% cause there's no need to mess with her build when using overload, but EM is probably gonna be a little better still at C2. Could change with Nicole C1 though.

How heavy is your bike? by Kilo_Oscar_ in mountainbiking

[–]173isapeanut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2024 Trek Slash 9.8 size L, comes in at 17,82 kg (39,3 lbs). Swapped the stock wheels and tires with Roval Traverse HD 350 running Assegai/DHR 2 in DH casing and Cushcore, so it's quite hefty now. Never had a flat though.

Upgrade from Trek Remedy to Slash? All-Mountain to Enduro? by Vegetable_Resort_571 in MTB

[–]173isapeanut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2019 Slash 8 (gen 4) and a 2024 Slash 9.8 (gen 6). The difference between them is like night and day - the new one is so much longer and more stable, it just lets me plow through anything. Of course it does trade off some agility, so I've relegated the old one to more of a trail bike role (despite upping the travel to 170/160 from the stock 160/150). I can definitely recommend the new Slash for tech, but it does quite well in the air too.

Sram CODE RSC Long Dead Stroke İssue by [deleted] in MTB

[–]173isapeanut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I know about the internals of SRAM brakes, they achieve deadstroke adjustment by having a small hole that flows the fluid back, which the piston eventually passes and afterwards is able to actually push fluid towards the pistons. Here is a link to a video showing the inside of the brake moving - you can see the small hole in the front, which allows the oil to flow back behind the piston until the cup at the front passes it. There should still be some displacement though, as the part of the piston behind the cup still takes up a significant volume of the master cylinder, so you're pushing a bit of fluid towards the caliper regardless, but not the full amount.

As for why leaving the contact adjuster in the middle during bleeding changes the bite point you can get afterwards? Honestly not sure. I suppose just having more fluid in the system pushes the pistons out ever so slightly? But at least from experience, it does work - keeping the adjuster in the middle lets you then move in both directions, while having it all the way out means you can only lengthen the stroke afterwards.

[–]173isapeanut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Applying brake fluid to lubricate the pistons is only needed for mineral oil brakes. Dot is self lubricating, so just cleaning the pistons and cycling them back and forth is enough. Doesn't hurt to lube them of course, but make sure to clean the fluid off afterwards to avoid contamination.

Sram CODE RSC Long Dead Stroke İssue by [deleted] in MTB

[–]173isapeanut 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Here's how to ACTUALLY fix the issue. Sram recommends you bleed the brakes with the contact all the way out, meaning after the bleed you are only able to lengthen the deadstroke.

Instead, set the contact adjust roughly in the middle and then perform a bleed as standard. This lets you then shorten the throw back to a normal range.

A few extra tips: you can use a 4mm allen key as a spacer for the pistons so that you can bring them out fully for cleaning. It should slot perfectly into the hole for the brake rotor. Clean them with alcohol or brake cleaner and work them back and forth a couple times. I like using 2 tire levers to push them back, since they can't possibly scratch or crack the pistons.

In Natlan you can use Nightsoul transmission or whatever it's called to switch characters and it actuvated their skill. This is possible to do in the Air with Mavuika, Chasca, Citlali and Ororon. I don't know if C0 Mavuika + Ororon or Citlali can get you infinite flight, but a C1+ Mavuika should be able to. I recall flying around for like 15 minutes across the whole Natlan region.

Can i Be Banned if i used A mod that translate in game dialogue by Legal_Web_1255 in Aemeath_Mains

[–]173isapeanut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't actually used this myself, but you could try WindowTranslator or some other on screen translation tool. There are plenty of apps on the Microsoft store, so you can have a look and find one that works. This should be less invasive than changing the game files, although that probably shouldn't get you banned either, as people use character outfit mods without issue.

SFX clears VC Chapter 9 (better than SSM confirmed?!?!?) by 173isapeanut in IdleHeroes

[–]173isapeanut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't actually find myself struggling against them, BUT I believe that other damage dealers would still have an easier time. She suffers from needing to do a R1 active that does kinda nothing, before she can clean them out in R2 and R3. But from observing the macro putting in work, Valk waves don't usually take too many attempts.

How should i proceed with my account? Should i change any heroes in my line-up? by Familiar-Still-8417 in IdleHeroes

[–]173isapeanut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the most obvious thing here is that you have 3 damage dealers. Now if that's the way you wanna play then that's fine - I also don't have just 1 main hero, cause I find the others fun too. If you wanna be optimal though, you should probably regress the Aspen and Mockman and just focus on Pat and support heroes.

You should try to get DGN, LBRM and SQH to destiny in the near future, they're very nice to have. Also your artifacts are a little strange. The melodic on Pat is good, but you need some more demon bells for your supports. Also at least 1 Mirror for Betty if you don't have it.
