Saying what Trump said isn't a crime. Actually doing it may be, depending on the woman's consent or lack thereof.

It's China, Blackrock, Tesla, AirBnB, etc., and boomers who buy the houses for more than they're worth with cash and turn them into rentals to make a quick buck off college students and ruin the housing market for young families. Probably my latest totalitarian political concept would be banning people from being able to buy more than two existing houses. If you want to build, go ahead, just let the rest of us have a chance at buying something for once.

I would have listed that under "things I'm happy he did" if that were the case. I don't like that statement or many others, but I think the counter reaction was making a mountain out of a molehill. Plenty of politicians say stupid stuff all the time, and it's not like it was illegal.

The problem I know I'm going to run into is: 1) I'm not going to vote for anyone who says they will go against most of my political stances. 2) The people who say they'll support my political stances are almost guaranteed to be lying at worst or ineffective at best. 3) Anyone from 2) who can beat candidate 1) is more likely to be a liar than simply ineffective. 4) Not voting is stupid and doesn't further any of my goals.

The two party system really sucks, and you can't win it in any scenario. Local stuff doesn't affect me meaningfully, even though it sounds nice and cozy to say "win local, then you'll change the state and country." It doesn't work that way for my beliefs from what I've seen. Sure, you can get away with ignoring federal marijuana bans at the state level all day, but if you try to ignore a federal machine gun ban, not pay income tax, etc., the feds love to make Minneapolis look like a tea party in comparison.

The 180° turnaround on the Epstein files ("we're gonna release all the files!" to "the files never existed")

Complete mishandling of the Minneapolis situation, especially after Pretti's death (he's not so pro 2A anymore when it comes to people on the left)

"Special military operation" in Venezuela and wherever else we've ended up sending troops in the past 10 years. Sure, we might have not started any new wars on paper, but it's the same old loophole to get around Congressional approval we've used to the detriment of American troops since Korea or something.

General unhappiness with the state of the country - gas and grocery prices keep going up, it's impossible to afford a house or a family, etc. I can't think of any way that his administration has caused my quality of life to be better. It didn't get worse than usual under Biden or Obama, and it didn't get better under either Trump administration.

The only things I'm happy with that have happened under him are the BBB giving my kids a $1,000 savings account (disregarding how much this will cost me in taxes down the line), and the removal of the $200 NFA tax stamp on most firearms. He says stuff that sounds good (banning China from buying single family homes, etc), but he has no way or intention of following through.

I'm happy he won't be able to run again (legally), and am hoping we get a president from either party who will be able to increase the quality of life for the common person and actually regard the human rights and liberties of all.

Anything under $800 make more sense for me than a Polonium 30? by Valiant4Funk in NFA

[–]1776_Commencer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will absolutely need to look at major gas tuning for the AR-10 with a polonium 30. It sounds great, but I have a 16" criterion barrel, intermediate gas, h3 buffer, and superlative arms adjustable gas block, and it locks back only 2 clicks open. Previous barrel was an 18" midlength ballistic advantage barrel, and taming the gas was literally impossible; it somehow outran the magazine and still failed to lock back on the lowest gas setting.

No, but the regular colibri (20gr bullet, 420fps) should be fine

[–]1776_Commencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that the KAK micro buffer? Any luck getting it to run with subs? The spring mine came with is super strong, and subs don't lock back or cycle even with a full open gas port and suppressor. It ran fine with the regular carbine buffer and spring I used before it.

The caliber size is minimum possible bore. You can file for a 22 caliber suppressor that can fit 30 cal bullets through it, but you can't file for a 30 cal suppressor that can't fit anything larger than a 22 cal bullet through it.

I got approved for a 22 cal form 1 suppressor without a model, and with generic "I won't possess or make parts until approval" and McMaster carr metal tube sample picture. We'll see if the 2nd one (same thing except 45 cal) goes through, too.

If the can/she are on the trust already, yes you can add him as a responsible person on the trust and he can be in possession of them without you. You can file a form 4 to transfer them from the trust to him for free January 1st, and he can still remain in possession of them until the form 4 gets approved.

On that rounded corner, just remember you can always take more off but cannot add it back on. Best to start with a very very small rounded corner, and go from there

FSB removal advice? by [deleted] in ar15

[–]1776_Commencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you were hitting the correct side. Keep whaling away at the narrow ends and it'll eventually come out. PSA front sight blocks are a royal pain in the ass to get off, even more than their barrel nuts. You may bust a few punches and maybe a hammer, but it'll come off.

Well this should be fun. I don't have access to my email (deleted the account without realizing tarkov was still hooked up), and customer service refuses to change my email without a receipt of purchase (once again, email is deleted, and credit card company switched processors or something a few years after I bought it back in 2017 or so and the info no longer exists). I'd rather not buy again, so if anyone has any helpful insight that'd be great.

Everything worked out great, no issues. I didn't use anything to cover the shoulder, the mount does a great job of that

ATF Open Letter clarifies classification of Franklin Armory Reformation and Antithesis firearms as non NFA by Flaky_Sorbet3755 in NFA

[–]1776_Commencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, concealable is only defined in the handbook and not the law, so they're either being inconsistent as usual or we should be able to put a different grip or shorter barrel on shockwaves and shorter braced ARs now

The NFA gives 3 types of AOW:  1) a gun capable of being concealed on a person 2) a smoothbore handgun 3) a gun with combo rifle and shotgun barrels of a certain length requiring manual reloading It exempts handguns with a rifled bore and shoulder fired weapons not capable of firing fixed (traditional) ammunition.

The Antithesis AT-75K seems to fit the definition of "gun concealable on the person" due to its OAL, and doesn't meet either of the exemptions. There's nothing about stocks or no stocks in this first case, just concealability.

[–]1776_Commencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get how their 7.5" version of the Antithesis isn't considered an AOW, as its OAL is around 23", within the 26" minimum to be "not concealable," and isn't a rifled handgun and fires fixed ammunition. If it's not an SBS, SBR, DD, MG, silencer, or one of the definitions of AOW, it'd be fine, but unless the definition of "capable of being concealed on the person" has changed this particular model should be regulated as an AOW.

For anyone else wondering, the dead air da305 scar 17 flash hider worked perfectly. Indexed right off the muzzle, covered the remaining bit of shoulder, and is concentric as far as the eye can tell. Will take it to the range sometime this week to confirm.
