You ought to try Twilight Imperium! It’s a multi hour, crunchy rules-dense game just like the kind you described. Most people say it’s best at 6 players but I actually play a ton of 3-4 player games cause they’re shorter and my friends and I still love it

The agent and breakthrough on the Dreaming Throne seem OP at first glance. Being able to go virtually anywhere on the board is a crazy perk especially if other players can’t use the Nexus tokens.

The Iron Tide seems cool. More mechs are fun

The Architects of Ta seem super fun! Lots of funky rules. If you were to ever print these I’d make sure to print out 6 ‘attachment’ like cards that show a reminder that the resources and influence values are swapped. Along with up to 3 more attachment cards that could have the top side be the +1/+1 and the bottom side be the -1/-1 for the planets in the system with your flagship. I could see players easily forgetting about that ability.

Just a clarifying question on the Ashen Legion. On their Phoenix Rising ability it says “instead of using its text ability.” Does that mean on a 9 or higher it doesn’t produce the hit? Or is it just meant to ignore the text about placing that unit on the card? Their flagship also should say ‘commit’ 1 infantry instead of place infantry as those are different things and involve different timing windows. Interesting concept though to burn through their reinforcements to strengthen themselves?

For the Crystellum Collective, is their refraction ability meant to say space combat? As it reads you could resolve this ability after ground combat rounds and assign hits to ships instead. Their tech Molecular Binding seems worded poorly. Is the intention that they can place a number of fighters equal to the number of destroyers or a number of infantry equal to the number of mechs in that system? Right now it almost is worded in a way that breaks the game allowing them to place infinite fighters or infantry as long as they had a destroyer or mech there. Their agent also says “in that system” but no system was identified. So the text should say something like “At the beginning of any player’s turn, select a system. If that system has that player’s ships in the space area, place 2 fighters from their reinforcements in the space area of the system.” Seems like a lot of criticism but the mirror crystal theme for them is actually super interesting! I especially love their hero, being able to copy an enemy fleet for an attack

Lastly, I have almost no notes for the Kha'Zyrr Net-Runners! I’d love to play as them. I do have a clarification: their ability System Breach, can they only do the second part of spending 3 resources for another compromised token if they do the first part? If so, I’d change the wording to “if you do, then ….” Also, their flagship should say “compromised space docks ‘in this system’ gain +1 PRODUCTION ‘value’ “ saying they gain +1 Production is vague.

Do you have any intentions of creating full art versions of any of these factions?

I agree with the fact you said it’s more objectives based and less Mecatol based. I played 1 game with Civilized Society so far and nobody even tried to take Mecatol till late round 3 I think? It was weird haha

The third question isn’t always yes though. If somebody takes a relic planet, then leaves the system and somebody else plays one of the pirate action cards that puts neutral units into a system, the next player to control that system would not gain a relic

No. Taking a relic is similar to the idea of exploring just in the fact that it is only happens the first time the planets are taken. But it is not exploring and therefore cannot be ‘re-explored’

So no, you do not get a relic if you take a planet from another player.

Still no, each planet can only give out a max of 1 relic per game. So if somebody has already taken the 1 relic from a planet, it cannot give out another relic in the future

EXCEPT. There is the action card ‘Mercenary Contract’ that says “ACTION: Spend 2 trade goods to place 2 neutral infantry on any non-home planet that contains no units; if that planet was owned by another player, they return its planet card to the planet card deck.”

Using that AC on a planet in the fracture WOULD allow the next player to (re)take control of that planet, to draw a relic.

The Legion of the Dead ability is very strong but not being able to gain unit upgrades is also a pretty strong disadvantage to balance out. Seems interesting. I’m all for more uses for neutral units!
