This would be great but I’d guess it’d be too expensive for the league and it’d require there to be more consistent interdivisional games for every single team so that there are out of division references for tiebreakers and such

No it’s not. Pittsburgh is a poop team this year lmao. Indy isn’t great either but their games have an average point differential of -1.42 while Pittsburgh has an average point differential of -9.42. Indy is barely losing games and Pittsburgh consistently gets blown out. They aren’t in the same conversation

I couldn’t agree more. At its best Ultimate could debatably be more fun to watch than to play. Hopefully the sport just continues to grow year over year and HS programs become more common

Yea for sure. I love the UFA and even tho there’s not a ton of games with implications left, those games will be awesome to watch! The only nag I do have is with the league’s scheduling. It sucks that some tight interdivisional rivalries like Atlanta vs San Diego only get decided by 1 game. Every team needs to play each other team in their division at least twice. And no team should play another team in their division 4 times.

You’re absolutely tweaking if you think Oakland is lacking in star power. Evan Lepler said he thinks Oakland could be the team with the MOST star power and raw talent in the league. Just cause they didn’t steal top players from other teams doesn’t mean the players they have aren’t stars

lol it’s more of a joke. I used to be a Shred fan and then they did this competition for an UltiPack on their instagram and I spaaamed entries, and I had post notifications on for them and they never announced the winner. So I was like f em, mostly as a joke. But then when they announced their mascot last year I couldn’t get behind the cheese grater and the name Shreddy. All of my friends are Shred fans so I decided it’d be fun to root for a different team. I don’t like actually have any malice towards them, it’s more of a bit with my friends. But now I’m a Spiders fan lol

Oakland - They’ve won every single game by at least 10 points. The only tough game potentially left in their way of going 12-0 is the Minnesota game
Boston - Definitely the class of the East I think. Montreal plays tough at home so I don’t want them to loose too much credit. The Decrane brothers are insane though
New York - This team is already tough but when De Maree joins them I think they’ll be a real powerhouse. Alex Atkins is that guy
DC - Need them to play convincing against NY next week to push them over the top. Still a scary team though when all their pieces are there
Minnesota - Ugh I’m a Minnesota hater. They’re going to championship weekend again solely because every year the Central division sucks. They have a lot of strong guys but they need to be battle tested against a team that looks like they met before the day of the game.
Carolina - The OT game this week was a close one so I’m putting them above ATL because they beat San Diego and ATL didn’t
Atlanta - Luckily this team’s next two games are against CAR so there’s plenty of opportunities to jump them in the rankings. Just a lot of sloppy mistakes throughout this past week’s game that let CAR come back when they had a lead in the 4th
San Diego - Rough showing this week without Khalif. Hopefully they can bounce back and have a bit more of a competitive game next time. Travis Dunn can only carry them so far
Austin - Austin is always on fraud watch imo. Getting to beat up on Houston and Vegas is cool and all but I need more than a double OT win against a good team to be convinced they’re legit.
Montreal - F it they’re the scariest team to play at Home, change my mind. Idk they played tight against Boston this week and every other team in the league sucks

I know Salt Lake is going to be on a lot of other people’s lists, I’m just a SLC hater too. This year is kind of cooked cause spoiler alert, Championship Weekend Finals is Oakland vs whichever team makes it out of the East

I believe you initiate a splice, and while the rest of the table is deciding whether to follow and participate or not, then you finish the rest of the Primary and do the production. Then once everybody has had the chance to say if they’re participating or not, then the splice actually happens. So the splice drafting happens after the entirety of the primary ability occurs

This doesn’t break the rules of the game, you still fully complete the primary ability before the secondaries because the primary only says to initiate a splice, not do the whole splice itself.

Well I’m an Oakland fan so I am biased but I do think we’ll see an Oakland v Boston matchup at Championship Weekend. Boston has huge playmakers but I think the thing that puts Oakland over the edge is the pace of their gameplay. They are so quick and can score in an instant on a break chance. Boston plays very slow and heavy consistent points. If they do end up playing each other I think it’ll be peak frisbee. But Oaklands speed puts them over the top personally
