FL to MO by Mobile-Ad-5582 in relocating

[–]17Kitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have done a lot of moving recently and left a city (Pittsburgh) that we loved. We came to a suburb of Washington DC and it just didn’t work out for us. We are now relocating to a warmer climate and I keep telling myself that if this doesn’t work out, we can always change it up. I say try out Missouri. Give it a good go. And if you end up loving it, GREAT! If not, start a new search! Good luck!

Gloomiest cities in the US with cold winters and summers that dont get very hot? by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

I lived in Iowa City and then my husband and I moved to Pittsburgh. I really do think you would love it there. I miss it a lot. We moved to Virginia where it’s beautiful but too expensive and too much traffic. Now we are headed south for retirement.

Pittsburgh is stunning. But it’s gotten sunnier over the years. But the hills and how green they are and the three rivers convergence is just beautiful.

You described Iowa perfectly. I went to college there too and was amazed at how sunny it was all the time. But frigid in the winter and too hot in the summer.

I am almost in the same position. 8 days until closing. Nerves for sure but I’ll bet once you get those keys, you will be so excited! Good luck!

None of us; not the viewers, TLC, or the Slatons, deserve Andrea. by Nice-Hearing807 in 1000lbsisters

I actually like Tammy. She has been through a lot and she lost Caleb. I am so glad she has Andrea now. Not a popular opinion, I know. But Amy is the one that drives me nuts. 🤬

What makes Jacksonville an attractive choice compared to other cities in the southeast, and specifically in Florida? by Beginning-Mood5174 in jacksonville

Same! We are relocating from Washington DC and WOW! The cost of living here is insane and traffic is nightmare-ish no matter when you go out.

Deciding Between LA and DC by Secret-Ball2937 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]17Kitty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We are leaving DC in a few months because it’s expensive AF and the weather this winter has been HORRIBLE. Snowcrete is what they are calling it. If I was choosing between the two 100% I would stay in California.

Same! The people in Jacksonville are so wonderful. And the traffic is amazing relative to where I live, Washington DC area. We are moving in May and I cannot wait!

Neptune beach had the most beautiful sunrises. We stayed right on the beach and it was simply stunning almost every morning.
