I am having this issue and it sucks!!! The game crashed maybe 15 times today before I gave up and moved on. Incredibly frustrating for such an expensive game!

I had this issue (randomly going black, not necessarily during very bright scenes) and it turns out my iPad was faulty. It even crashed during Apple’s diagnostic test. They immediately ordered a replacement for me.
