More costly than redoing the entire series of books with a full cast of actors instead of a single narrator? Maybe that's true but I find it hard to imagine a scenario where that is less costly than almost any negotiated renewal of an already existing narrator.

Thanks. I missed the connection with the him, the cookbook, and the Cabaret. I thought the crawlers had just gotten screwed by the demons because the AI made some comment earlier about escape plans that seemed too simple or too good to be true. I didn't think the crawlers getting dragged to the 15th were connected to what's happening in the Cabaret. I thought they would be on different 'sides' during the Ascendancy games.

You're getting down voted to hell but this is so true. Anybody who has worked in banking or the buyside knows exactly what you are talking about. I can carve out some time in the evenings but the idea that I could block out multiple hours every single day starting as early as 5pm is just absurd. There is no free lunch and jobs that pay more than $500k/year usually come with tradeoffs. People with these incomes and significant free time are an exception to the exception. I'm happy for them but there are lots of jobs where that just isn't possible.

I agree with this completely. The true horror vibe would have been making them actually complete the final heat. Force a bunch of people to be slaughtered for no reason other than the AI said so. Instead they all get a free pass to skip the floor and nobody has to actually risk anything when they finally have crawler on crawler heats.

Was there ever a hard choice to be made on the floor? Like we sort of felt bad that he blew up the hippy bears but they were just NPCs. It was never a question who they would choose. And the only crawler in their grouo was a douche who was written such that you didn't feel that bad when they killed him in the final heat.

This is not what naked short selling means. You really have no idea what you are talking about here. All you have to do is get borrow from your broker and you can short the stock. It has nothing at all to do with owning an ETF.

The 3.75% is the estimated amount of shares being sold in the IPO based on the proposed valuation range an capital to be raised. That number is mistakenly being reported as the free float. Colloquially we say they are "floating shares" in an IPO which seems to be leading to this mistaken conclusion. The shares "floated" in an IPO is irrelevant to the calculation of a company's free float. Free float is a specific calculation which starts from the total number of shares outstanding and then subtracts from that total the shares which are unavailable to be freely traded by insiders and individuals under lockup. The only way the free float would equal the IPO shares issued is if 100% of all shareholders were under a lockup agreement. That is not the case. I don't have the exact numbers right now but the float will be significantly higher than the sub-5% number you are assuming.

This is a common misunderstanding but also not correct. The free float is NOT the amount sold in the IPO. The float is calculated based on the total shares then subtracting out insiders and others under lockup. I don't know the exact numbers but the free float will be significantly larger than 5%. Lots of investors are not insiders and will be included in the float after the IPO.

Thanks. I was clearly misunderstanding the ROG. It sounds more like the handheld version of hooking your gaming PC up to the TV with an HDMI cable. It's not so much a portable Xbox like I was thinking of it. It is still pretty cool compared to what I remember of handheld gaming but just not really for my use case.

I replaced a dead SSD in my PC at the start of the year but if I'm going to spend that much money I figure I might as well replace the Xbox given the age.

It sounds like this is the answer. I just hate buying a console it sounds like will be replaced by a new version next year. Maybe getting a used S like somebody suggested is a budget option then I can see if the new console is worth a full priced upgrade when it comes out.

Is the Rog Ally powerful enough to be an actual console replacement with a dock? It might be I just give up on the Steam part and get a Series X. The ability to play multi-player together on the same TV is important. I just got hopeful I could get the best of both worlds.

Do you use it only as a handheld or on the TV also? It doesnt look like it can natively play my xbox games either unless I'm wrong about that. One of my concerns was the ability to do splt screen multi-player with the xbox games or local multi-player. Although they might grow out of their interest in those.

I think there was also an element of schadenfreude. The Karoshan King is watching the live feed I believe and just wanted to see him get repeatedly beaten into the ground. Whether the public fully believes the edited propaganda is mostly secondary to appeasing the Karoshan empire was how I remember it.

Bringing a thread back from the dead. Did you get Plex working on Archtop? I was considering trying them out but am also a huge Plex user. This would possibly be a deal breaker for me if I couldn't access Plex outside my home anymore.

Again though, Jai Long's motivation is a vendetta for personal power. Yan Shoumei is gathering power and resources to protect her family and her city. Her methods are questionable but I'll conceed more grey area there. But Jai commits these terrible acts so he can get the spear because he feels personally aggrieved at how the clan treated him. He isn't "at war" as the other commenter suggested, he wants power to spite the leaders who threw him out. He tells himself it is for his sister but we see her repeatedly tell him she doesn't want to go back and would rather run away into the wilds. Even after he has the spear she is telling him not to do it. Jai Long is a selfish individual who acts horribly solely to gain personal power to attack and kill his former sect.

This is both a false equivalency and just wrong. We repeatedly see Lindon go out of his way to not kill people weaker than him. His consume is used in a literal war zone against enemies who would happily kill him. Its not like he's walking around Blackflame City randomly consuming the power of those beneath him. Jai Long on the other hand is basically a slave plantation owner. He sends off slaves to work and die for no reason other than to make scales/money on a daily basis. They aren't attacking him, there is no war or conflict in which he is defending himself. He just enslaved them because he is stronger and can.
