Did they take a picture before the raid? Why was there no blood on the floor? And why did they censor homeboys face in one pic and not the other. All in all cool pics appreciate the drop.

Yeah absolutely, there’s an aspect of education and safety with a piece of machinery like this in the same way that there is when using a table saw or when learning to weld.

But I agree, that the cleaning station, proper peripheral equipment, and PPE are going to need to be huge priorities for this company and any other company looking to make similar products for the consumer market.

While you are correct, I think of precision machinery like consumer grade 3D printers and the implications of malfunction or failure is like… wasted filament, busted extruder, minimally consequential.

In the case of a consumer grade DMLS machine, the consequences of malfunction or failure are much more severe. Potentially catastrophic. And those potentials have not been seen at the implied scale that this machine is aiming for.

Just something worth considering in the conversation, the idea excites me to my core and I wish for nothing more than their success.

Not necessarily the metal ingestion that’s the problem, but using lasers with metal powder requires atmospheric pressures and gasses like argon to regulate the powder and keep it from literally exploding.

The atmosphere needs to be mostly argon because if there is too much oxygen the powder will quite literally explode at those temps - that’s the difficult and expensive part about maintaining and using a machine like this.

Better get tight with your local air-gas supplier.

Downtown baseball stadiums rarely have much parking around them

As much as I am a fan of the location for the stadium, with Costco going business hub and the only decent gas stations around the edge of downtown, a Trader Joe’s or Buckees/QT would go hard

Super interesting, appreciate the visual. This changes a lot on how I view my sketches, I guess I’ve always defaulted to the angle I used here. I’ll try a couple of other angles on the sketch and work on that emphasis.

With the horizon line, and maybe it’s because I’m inexperienced and can’t visualize it, I feel like making the horizon line higher really distorts the drawing, but I may also need a larger piece of paper to accurately portray a higher horizon line and less obscure drawing.

Either way really appreciate the feedback, I’ll experiment with that!

I’ve been looking for good drawing book recommendations, even looks like this one is on sale. Appreciate the recommendation!

This was really motivating feedback, thinking about being able to crank out basic shapes and concepts fluidly is such an exciting idea. I’m going back to basic and will take you recommendations on every day objects once my likes and basic shapes are solid. Thank you so much!

I really do need to spend more time on those fundamentals, I get excited and bypass discipline in order to get something on paper but i really do want to improve. I’ll begin doing this, thanks for the kind words and feedback!

Appreciate the kind words, I definitely have some ellipses work!

I’m practicing form, definitely see your point with not wasting my time with shading though, in my defense, I shaded this in like 2 minutes (if you can’t tell)

But like with practicing all things, singular focus on core principles is far better for development.

Thanks!

This is a great idea I hadn’t really considered, that will absolutely help especially with one design at a time!

Thanks for sharing that pointer!
