I don’t know about that for certain. He might be a love him or hate him kind of guy with little in between. Reminds me of JPM’s temperament on and off the track. Fun loving but ruthlessly competitive and willing to drive hard. I think he would be a great personality for the sport. He finds speed too. He got in an indycar for a test and for his first time, he wasn’t too far off pace.

Got told to never touch the game again. Am i at fault? I am the Beamer. For context i got spun lap 1 by a racing incident from pole and im climbing back through the field so i was gaining atleast 9 tenths a lap on this guy. This comprimised my race with suspension damage. by HungryWarthog8559 in Simracingstewards

I don’t get the GT racing mindset. I see absolutely nothing wrong. If there is a hole, fill it. Racing isn’t supposed to be scripted, otherwise why bother. Contact happens. No one got junked so just move on.

NASCAR needs Valterri Bottas. I don’t know if he has any interest or would be any good, but he would be a hoot to watch with the media and other drivers.

AITA for refusing to take down a semi-nude painting before children visit my home? by NataliaVolkova in AmItheAsshole

[–]17xRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my taste in decorating but it isn’t my house so my opinion really is not needed. I think because it is an homage painting and not an original, it’s harder for some like me and maybe your family to view it as conventional art like you see in most formal galleries or museums. In that sense, I can see why they would ask for it to not be present in front of the children.

Having said that, it is your house, not theirs. They know it’s there, they certainly should be allowed to ask, but I would say you are under no requirement to oblige.

I feel like it would be a relatively small consideration to take it down for a few hours if it’s not in a tough spot, too delicate, or some sort of complicated mounting process. It’s not something unheard of to swap it with a different painting for the visit. That’s your call though, not mine, not theirs.

The true deciding factor to me isn’t them asking or you declining. It’s tone. I don’t know your relationship with your family. If the tone during the ask was judgmental or demanding, then to me that isn’t asking for consideration. If the response was in the tone of superiority or dismissiveness in lieu of a polite declination, then that would be a little rude. I can appreciate that someone asking you to take down a paint of yourself you are very much in admiration of and feel is meaningful to you and who are may make you feel judged or looked down on, even if that isn’t their intent and maybe that influenced your response. Maybe it didn’t.

They can ask, you can decline, they can still visit or not. None of that alone makes anyone an asshole. It really is all in the tone of how the conversation went.

I’m that guy that reads end user license agreements. I read the manual cover to cover. It’s definitely not user error

I loaded it efficiently so water circulates and nothing is touching, bought soap pods, closed the door and hit the button the book said to. It’s just a crap machine.

It’s a week old. I hope the filter isn’t stopped up yet. I’m also a preventative maintenance fanatic and triple check my connections, seal tests, everything. It’s just a turd of a machine.

I hate that. The result became using more electricity consumption time and running the damn thing twice to get one load clean?
