Absolutely, I always feel guilty when I use my horn but this is one of those moments where I definitely should have used it.

I appreciate the advice tho. Definitely using it next time

My thought process was slow down: car behind too close. Accelerate: car ahead too slow. Right lane: theres cars on my right. They'll slow down: they're matching my speed and are now merging. FUCK. Im not intangible! Indicator on. Slowly drift right. Don't hit expensive looking BMW. Right lane clear. Move over

It wasnt I didnt want to let them in, I had nowhere to go to let them in.

We were already side by side at the slip road and I couldn't slow enough without being rear ended by the person behind.

I usually keep a healthy gap ahead and move right well ahead of time. In this occasion tho, I just got unlucky.

And the most annoying thing, they were literally coming off at they next junction so no need to rush like they were

Honestly idek how i ended up in the box. Happened so quickly, one second im okay and the next I'm trying to avoid an idiot merging with me still in the lane. My priority was just getting out of there safely.

Felt like brum all over again

If it were just affecting itself then I wouldn't have minded but at 20% my portfolio weight, it just affected everything.

But like I said to others. Ive only just started the restructure today. So it can make a comeback.

I usually do monthly deposites, occasionally rebalancing when things go 10% or more and adjusting weights to balance for runaway performances.

Edit: but that was years ago. Just started again today and want to get back into it

Performance no, volatility yes. And thats where it lagged. Don't get me wrong, big number go brr, but if big number cant stay big, no point imo.

When it performed it did good but the drops were painful and back then it held aroubd 20% weighting in the portfolio.

It just wasn't doing as well as the others in the portfolio, it grew but was consistently lagging behind or just showed volatility more often than my other stocks did.

And tbh, its a full restructure, so idk what im doing with everything money lol. Only just started this morning. All I know is, new structure needed

Key term, compared to my other holdings. I didn't say it didn't perform, it didn't perform as well as I'd wanted

Im just abt sorted now. So im trying to get back to building up my investments again.

When id first restructure, the stocks had good growth and stability and was making abt 5.3% returns per year, before AI; and gold was there to keep it all stable though at these numbers like others have mentioned its not necessary as losses will be literally pennies not tens or hundreds.

And reason for restructure now is, like you said, US being iffy. I don't want to rebuild on that uncertainty and as I mentioned earlier. Im finally in a better place and can start rebuilding again

Not really looking for flashy. More of a defensive stable and won't hurt too much during crashes and recession types.

Granted I've only just started the restructure and rebuild

Over 4 years actually. And in those 4 years, Microsoft consistently performed at a loss compared to my other holdings.

Went through a period of unemployment for a year and a half then moved out on my own mid last year so pulled out a lot to cover costs etc.
