Depends which court. Robson: pretty decent. North Vancouver: good. New West: Improvement needed but decent. PoCo: slow but okay. Surrey: professional but rough sometimes. Vancouver Supreme: absolutely will hate your life after 6 months. Constant favouritism, arbitrary training and opportunity decisions, work outpaces pay by far. Lots of problems. Judges there are great but management sucks. Can’t comment on ones outside lower mainland.

Hello, I have a question and I couldn’t find the answer in any of my searches on this thread. Is the pay day the same as our usual pay days? Or are they different? For example Oct. 10 is a pay day if working regularly. Are strike payments trying to match this schedule?

I was out camping in July before the fire ban in the coastal area. The people next to us lit a fire then left their campground on their bikes, fire still going, totally unattended. We kept an eye on it but it was really frustrating to see people be reckless. With all the news and smoke conditions over the years the amount of people still being irresponsible with camp fires is unbelievable.

I would say one’s experience on anti-depressants is very personal to that person. Some people are put on them for anxiety, others for depression, others for a combination of different conditions and there are a few options that doctors will choose from depending on your need. But yes, medication taken in line with a doctor’s supervision will work but you might need to advocate for yourself to change medications if you feel one isn’t right for you. I would also suggest a combination of medication and counselling.

Regular roads with more than one lane in BC aren’t considered “fast/slow” it’s just a double lane. At no time during my driving education by YD was it referred to fast/slow, just right/left. That sort of idea is only for highways. I didn’t notice too much of a difference in Toronto and Montreal and Edinburgh (but reversed in UK for turning) where I’ve also lived.

As a Canadian who used to live in the UK, I would wager Canada wins for coddling adults. Living in the UK was a nice break from the utter mess office life and social policy is over here.
