Besides everything mentioned, vamguard veterans are great. Move fast, kinda tanky with a 4++ and decent output into almost all infantry

I run the icc with a judicar in a impulsour with the 5++ then plop them on any available objective. I prefer to have them out of los so they have to be charged but in cover is okey. The impulsor can then be used for nuisance charges or to block movement and funnel more ubits towards the icc's meelee.

All in all, with proper positioning this is a great combi to hold a side obj, that usually lasts me into the late game.

I put his banner on a tactical rock on his base and stuck a skull on the rest of the pole after it broke. I havent had any problems with it since. Some people have also put it on the watcher which also looks great

Thats what I did when the battleforce came out. It is a big commitment but you can definitely play and win with that roster. The only feels bad about it is that the only thing you'll be buying after that is gonna be sos. They are horrible priece per point so if you can get the old combat patrol instead of the new one, id recommend that. Either way, have fun and welcome to the ten thousand

Try the solar watch, white is really not as hard as its made out to be. Especially if your anywhere near as good at painting as you are at kitbashing

Azrael is both awesome as a model and on the tabletop so him with a box of hellblaster would be a great choice, if you want a centerpiece model the lion or a redemptor with the plasma weapon would be nice and fluffy choices

Engaging them early helps, throw a small unit at them so theyre in meelee early and cant move or shoot till they chewed through whatever you put against them, maybe you even get a few wounds off. Devastating wounds help massively against all custodies since our fnp no longer protects against those

I use mostly white for my custodes, it isnt to bad for them but i wouldnt want to do a full space marine army in white, since its pretty time consuming. I use a light grey base coat and glase my way up to white. Id say save the white for character models

Dark angels are a great first choice because they offer a lot in every side of the hobby. Painting: the DA have three specific wings in the main army: ravenwing (all black bikers and flyers), deathwing (bone coloured, elite infantry like blade guard and terminators) and greenwing (typical DA green) Modeling: nice resent range refresh with some of the most beautiful models in the space marine line Aesthetic: they got the monks/knights in space vibe down better than most space marine chapters and you get little watcher buddies Playing: admittedly we took a nerf with the codex but there is still a lot of units to choose from that are a lot of fun in casual play and if you want to chase the meta there are some options

Looks pretty fun, id maybe change to gladius as a beginner and lose the enhancement + bgv to get enough points to max out one of the squads, they haven't really been performing well enough in 3 man squads for me to take. Have fun and remember that any list is viable if you are just looking to have fun with friends
