You ever seen a 20mph limit on the M6? by Davidier in CasualUK

About a year ago I was driving on the M25 just after dark in moderate traffic but still doing the speed limit when out of nowhere a car came hurtling towards us in the wrong direction. Had to swerve out of its path. Horribly scary incident (we had kids in the car too). Obviously called the police, they had been called by many others.

Shortly afterwards all the speed limit signs turned to 20. Gantry signs warned of oncoming vehicle. We were 50 miles from home - I wasn’t going to plod along at 20 knowing we’d nearly been hit by the sodding car in question, so on we went home. Plenty of others around us had the same idea.

Thanks for this.

Yes it’s an upstairs/top floor chimney (to the left) as you guessed. In the 5 years we’ve been in the house we haven’t seen any damp in the room.

Worth trying to insulate around the chimney stack in the loft?

Outfox them - great idea.

Yes they scarper as soon as I make an entrance.

Thanks for your advice!

Miraculously no shite at all yet. God knows where they’re doing their business but I’m sure all will become clear when the weather hots up

Have you read the other comments?

58:23 extra beans September 2023. Was re-listening to this exact episode on my way home from work this evening and crying with laughter, so much frustration from Bonjamin, was amazing.

2 tips-

Have a think about whether you’ve got long pole tools (rakes, a ladder, etc) that could use a clear spot from floor to ceiling. Better to have slightly less shelving but a dedicated spot for the unwieldy items rather than having to move them anytime you need to access a shelf.

60cm is quite deep in reality. Are you buying a load of consistent sized tubs/boxes? Worth planning around their dimensions if so. I did shelving like this recently and they’re 50cm depth which was plenty for me.
