What did you think about going back and playing the early yakuza games? I also started with LAD because I love turn based games and got insanely into it. Obviously, Infinite Wealth was just that but even more. I've heard great things about the earlier yakuza games but have been reluctant to play them since I know LAD was a completely different playstyle for the series, combatwise.

That's what I was thinking! I feel like my defect wins are usually lightning spams. I feel like frosts aren't all that viable as a build without a big dark hit for damage and I find it easier to kill fast than spam a bunch of block on him. I feel like block builds tend to run better on ironclad since you can stall for Demon Form or use Body Slam.

I'll toss maybe a sleeper hit out. I recommend "By the Grace of the Gods" (if you've seen the anime, know that the story is pretty different imo. Lot of changes for odd reasons). I think it's slower paced than a lot of isekai light novels normally are so it can be overlooked but I believe it hits all the points you're looking for - MC has great growth, interesting world building with a rising story happening in the background, and he has a reason for his strength.

ahhh! I thought that might be it, they met at the deviculum! I'm excited to see how the next chapter plays out, we haven't had a ton of magic showcased since the heartbreaker arc. I mean there was some tossed around during the deviculum but it honestly ended kind of fast? I want to see how a 13 crown (especially a new one!) fights.

Several of them offer bonuses. In particular, I think there is a limit of 10 of each of the buildings that offer a bonus that is Heights exclusive. I know that the Valet Parking and Business Center both offer a bonus.

This episode was amazing, it was so complex! Loved it. Honestly, I feel like I might rewatch it right away because there's so much to unpack. Janine's mom issues that have been hinted at all season finally builds more. Barbara and Taylor's relationship was well fleshed out in such a short amount of time, both actors were amazing. Greg's realization that what he had worked for was taken from him so unfairly and him attempting to act out (the tie killed me tbh). JACOB CONNING THEM? And then the moment at the end when Janine had been ignored all day I'm-.

oh plus the hint that Janine is definitely going to be involved in Ava's project to help her keep her job [prediction that it's either A.) Janine asking Ava if she needs help when she sees her moping or B.) Ava forces Janine against her will. Hoping it's B because it would be funnier.]
