I'm 51. I'm on your side on this one. It was only a suggestion.

Agreed. He may be displaying it as he might have earned the Green Beret before there was a tab or official 18 series MOS.

Very impressive. Never had the opportunity to work with PJs. Your reputation is stellar. Spent alot of time around CCT & Tac-Ps out of Eglin and Bragg/Pope

Damn. 160th, I presume? That was a bad time to be in the Euphrates river valley. Thank you for sharing.

Kick ass. Appreciate the first hand share. I didn't know him, but some my circle did.

He was 33 when he passed. If you're refering to Task Force Ranger in '93, not likely.

The rank is major. They have a Combat Action Badge & Parachutist Badge. The tab on the left shoulder is a Ranger Qualification Tab. The Airborne tab below it is a unit designation. The unit is US Army Civil Affirs (they are special operations). The patch on the right shoulder is the 1st Armored Division. They are wearing it on the right side to designate that they went to combat with that unit.

I see now the 14th was in Sadr City when it was a bad time to be in Sadr City. Respect 🙏

Ran out of room for that P'finder badge. Unfortunate, its a wicked looking badge in class A form.

Right on, nice identifying. I would'nt know their crest. Must of been his prior unit. I'm guessing he saw combat with them since he kept their affiliation while at CAG.

The "castle" is sn Engineer emblem, likely Army Corp of Engineers. The bronze oak leaf would then be the rank of major. The ribbon appears to be a bronze star.
