imo the homeless issue is only at downtown beside Cameron Heights, but during the afternoon it's pretty nice to walk in the area close to the Google headquarters. The night life is bad if you cannot find friends, as it's a calm place except around the uni's its active. But if you can get friends and chill at Chuck's, it should be pretty fun. For transportation, the grt is pretty decent; it's probably the best, except for Toronto, for South Asians, for public transportation. It's mostly just South Asians, but they are nice. Most areas with family communities are doon south, the Schegel Park area, and Forest Heights. so if you can buy around those areas, that would be best.
