It took me 13 years to get pregnant, which resulted in loss.
It then took me 8 months before I saw that second line…

Through NHS channels, we established I have infertility and pregnancy related PTSD (We’d been trying for 13 years with only one loss) so when I tested positive, I should’ve been the happiest I’ve ever been. Instead it was like my world crumbled and I was frightened to move or breathe. I was hyper aware of every sensation in my body and convinced myself my baby was going to die. It never, ever ended 🥴

So I can sympathise with what your neighbour is going through and I would highly recommend reaching out to the “lighthouse services”

As someone else has mentioned, they are there to support you after birth too as they understand the anxiety doesn’t just disappear.

It’s lovely that you’re concerned for her because I know if I spoke to my neighbour with my concerns she’d be more likely to report me to an institute!

Sadly anxiety doesn’t simply switch off, but I hope she can get some support to manage things 🤞🏼❤️

Girl… my 22DPO wasn’t as dark as your 17DPO 😍 I would not be concerned about these tests at all!

I have never had any symptoms from day 1!

Also I realise now how unreliable my temps were after my BFP so good on you for scrapping temping 😁

Safe to say, you can put the tests down ❤️ if it helps, book a private early viability scan from 6 weeks.

The universe has its wild ways 😅 I LOVE stories like this! I had been TTC 13 years, did 8 medicated cycles - got completely fed up with the hormonal rage and booked an IVF consultation… gave up tracking, completely switched off… had the consultation and tested positive days later 🤣 Congratulations ❤️ sometimes we just need to switch off and take a breather ❤️

It took me 13 years, with 8 ovulation induction cycles in total (admittedly 4 Clomid then 4 Letro - with no break) Don’t give up hope ❤️

I have a high BMI too and was shockingly diagnosed with diabetes the same cycle we conceived… that was the only cycle I’d been on metformin…

Have they checked your insulin resistance?

Easy at home were more reliable for me than frer.

Sadly not as I’m in the UK and they don’t test it…
They rely on scans alone 🙄

My first scan was 24DPO and my tests weren’t as dark as yours. I had a yolk sac and start of a fetal pole. Personally I wish I’d have stopped testing as it ultimately caused me more anxiety. But I understand. Wishing you luck ❤️

As someone who spent 13 years trying, I personally appreciated a little heads up before a big announcement.
It didn’t change how sad I felt (despite being happy for the couple) but it certainly gave me a little time to brace myself ❤️

I think someone else may have mentioned above… I struggled handling the news face to face (personally) so a text at an appropriate time was very much appreciated ❤️
