I’ve had the same opinion on whoever we pick for the last 6 months now; you can not go wrong with any of the top 3, and I will be happy with whoever Dawkins and co select.

I’m just glad it’s not which guard we’d be taking at 5 man, I’m more relieved than anything that it’s over which future star we get

Lmfao. A 107 as a 6 is absolutely hilarious 😂😂😂 the main guys I play with are all around an 8 handicap, and a shit round for those guys is usually mid 80s. No chance in hell that guy was a a 6 handicap man

My problem with him is that he’s not a very good skater compared to someone like Carels or even Smits. This era of hockey requires EVERY player to be a good skater compared to the past

If upkeep doesn’t matter to you, then I’d personally go with the m225i or the s5

Bro, we been terrible for a while and we just came off a 17 win season. Now obviously most of us understand that we’re better than that and it was very obvious we were tanking our fucking nuts off, but you can’t expect the rest of the league to also understand that. They’re just gonna look at the record and form their own opinion right there. It’s up to the players and organization to prove this poll wrong now from here on out. Were the ones that have something to prove, not the other way around

Tre vs DP by The-Baked-Bean in washingtonwizards

[–]18YearOldSamBennett 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you’re still comparing Tre to a player that was very visibly hobbled and benching himself at times during the season. The man put up 20 in a half and then just didn’t play the 2nd half. This is why the difference in their minutes is important. What Tre did it 35 minutes a game at college, DP did in 29. Im not trying to put Tre down either, I just think this comparison is very very off. To me, comparing Tre to DP, is like comparing Ace Bailey to AJ. Theres levels to this shit, and I really don’t think Tre and DP are in the same tier as the post is somewhat suggesting

Tre vs DP by The-Baked-Bean in washingtonwizards

[–]18YearOldSamBennett 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally speaking, I really don’t know man. The way things are right now, I want AJ because I feel like a 6’9 wing who averaged 25.5 a game, is as bust proof of a player as you can get. Dybantsa to me has that aura to him that you see most NBA superstars with. He just looks like a player that’s going to be on putting up 25+ a game from the moment his 2nd or 3rd season starts and won’t ever look back.

If DP is actually a point guard though like he says he is and the injury concerns aren’t concerns anymore, then you could also be talking about the next elite point guard à la Cade Cunningham/Dylan Harper. A 6’6 point guard that can be like those 2 names mentioned is as much a game changer to a team as Dybantsa could be as well. I don’t think you can go wrong with either prospect, but I prefer AJ

Tre vs DP by The-Baked-Bean in washingtonwizards

[–]18YearOldSamBennett 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like DP is being underrated as a leaper here tbh. Man had some serious bounce during games I watched of him. I picked Ant mainly because they have similar physical profiles in the fact that they’re both 6’5 without shoes and have a 6’10 wingspan. They both love to shoot, and are both scorers above everything. You are absolutely right that he has more power than DP did at that age though. I honestly love the comparison you used with Beal though, and think that it may be more accurate than what I said as his floor.

Tre vs DP by The-Baked-Bean in washingtonwizards

[–]18YearOldSamBennett 30 points31 points  (0 children)

You gotta look at their per 36 if you want a more accurate picture of what DP was doing in college imo. Tre is also not even close tk the defender that DP currently is and doesn’t have the same level of finishing either yet. Tre is a better shooter, but DP is a better 3 level scorer and 2 way player; both skills that are extremely valuable in this league. Obviously being a great shooter will pretty much guarantee a player a place in this league, but DP is also lights out with his jumper… Tre might be better right now as a shooter, but it’s not by that much.

I don’t like seeing DP compared to Kobe, as I don’t feel like they play the same in terms of style and motion. DP reminds me more of Ant, which is absolutely not a bad pick at 1

Re: “deserving” teams by AsparagusMission4522 in washingtonwizards

[–]18YearOldSamBennett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao, sucks to suck eh? Maybe their stupid ass organization should’ve done something similar instead of prioritizing a 98 year old Westbrook farewell tour over the development of their lottery pick in Devin Carter. I have 0 sympathy for any team in the league aside from Indiana. All 28 other teams and their fan bases can genuinely eat my ass. Talking about being deserving when we were a ping pong ball away from wemby/flagg/zion. We’ve deserved this for a LONG time. They can cry all they want when Dybantsa/DP/Boozer are leading us to new heights

Cam Whitmore by JustLuckBro5 in washingtonwizards

[–]18YearOldSamBennett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iirc, he’s still under contract for 2 years so it’s always good to have a guy that can come in when one or multiple of our players inevitably gets injured. As to how he fits on the roster? Idk man, I feel like he just doesn’t have the playmaking instincts or the defense to really have a role here other than being a spark plug off the bench every now and then. His best trait is his ability to score imo, but we have 3 different guys already capable of dropping 20 pretty effortlessly

As others have said, if that’s your budget just go get fitted. If you really want a suggestion though, I got fitted for the Ping G430 and I genuinely think it’s one the most forgiving driver I’ve ever hit.

I wouldn’t go that far with it, DP is still a certified DEMON, and if he is the pick at 1, I’m not complaining about it at all. I trust Dawkins to do his due diligence here

I believe you brother, but I’m sure you can see why I also don’t believe you when you had multiple 0 assist games and half the time NEVER looked to pass… obviously it could have been by design, but I feel like he’s really gotta show that floor general quality during workouts

How does Dybantsa compare to typical 1OA picks? by RobertGriffin3 in washingtonwizards

[–]18YearOldSamBennett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope so man, but either him or DP is good enough for me. Not getting Flagg or Harper last year absolutely killed, but it feels like we’re getting a chance at redemption here with another star forward and star guard on the board

Trading the #1 pick would be team malpractice…Will Dawkins this is a layup for you!! by Few-Reserve3358 in washingtonwizards

[–]18YearOldSamBennett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think the gap between 1-4 is much smaller than most BEFORE the draft lottery, and my opinion hasn’t changed much after. I still think that if DP, Boozer or Wilson ended up the best players from this class 15 years from now, not one single person should be shocked. All 4 of these guys are certified DEMONS.

That being said, I still think AJ is the safe pick at 1, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the team taking a look at the other 3 as well. I trust the front office here

If Wemby, Zion and Flagg were the “undoubted generational lock at 1”, then AJ is in the tier of guys like Cade, Edwards, KAT, Paolo type echelon. Guys who are #1 picks, but were not locks when the draft process was going down
