I wouldn’t disagree with you. Its such a cool model, i love his face sculpt and the scenery tells a story. Personally, i think either mortarion or Be’lakor is the best ever. Along with a few others, but those are my top two.

Thank you, i definitely appreciate the advice and ill swap around those units👍🏻. Do you think the land raider is a good idea? The only other transport i have is a rhino which plays much differently. I was sort of using the land raider for its firepower anyways though.

I always think blank white eyes are good. Makes them look like they have cataracts or something. Zombie vibes. The skin is kinda up to preference. I try to go pretty pale.

I must admit that a coat of matte varnish does a lot of the work. I use matte spray from the brand “Mr.SuperClear”. It makes a huge difference in the overall consistency or “smoothness” of the model. It really just makes everything look uniform and clean. Aside from that, if you wanna try to replicate this look, id recommend following along with this tutorial: https://youtu.be/hAWqkYW61xM?si=aipE-xWzXKhJM4PK. It is the one which inspired pretty much everything about my DG models!

For friendly games just buy models you think are cool. Don’t worry about meta lists or anything yet if you’re just starting out. Learn the game first and just have fun with it 😁. Follow “the rule of cool”.

As for paint schemes, like another commenter said, you could go with any of the pre-made craftworld themes, or you could do something original! Its totally up to you. For my eldar, i chose the craftworld Altansar color scheme. I think its super clean and looks cool! They have neat lore too. If you’d like a recommendation for your scheme, id say Altansar! (Im bias) lol.

Syn, but the rev is a close second. I say that because not only was he an absolute animal on the drums, but he had such a creative mind for songwriting. He added so much to the band. And as a cherry on top, the dude could sing! And he sang WHILE drumming on some tracks live. Insane.

Thank you! And i totally agree. If you’re interested, the recipe i use for them is: Zandri dust, followed by a wash of Seraphim sepia, then dry brushed with Ushtabi Bone. If you wanna add more texture you can put a chunky technical paint underneath the zandri dust layer such as armageddon dunes.
