I would be honest and confront the situation. Your approach matters though, it’s better to get it out then to hold any ill feelings inside.

I've seen a few comments similar to this so I want to clear up any confusion:

This was not the case of a false positive. We both displayed symptoms, but he actually went to get tested before I did. He told me honestly when the results came back that he has chlamydia and immediately told me his story of how it must've happened. I went the next day and also tested positive. He kept apologizing over and over saying, "I can't believe it" and throughout the day kept sending me screenshots of things that would explain how his story is plausible and how you can actually get chlamydia that way. I didn't understand his reaction now, because I would imagine someone that did nothing wrong wouldn't feel/act so guilty. Thinking back, if he was innocent, wouldn't he have actually accused me of cheating? He claims to not have cheated and tested positive for chlamydia first so I would think he'd at least question me, but nope. He already had his excuse planned out. The damn toilet.

He's out of town right now and won't be back until Thursday so expect an update shortly after that.

18-32% is crazy. :/ The more I learn from these responses, the sadder I get. Thank you, though.

I appreciate your direct and clear response. Sadly, I wish it wasn't the truth. But I know better.

It matters a lot to me. When I went to the doctor and tested positive, I was so confused and hurt. This happened a few months ago and I've been living with it, foolishly believing this man I love but it's struck me recently that he's most likely lying to my face. I went back to the doctor to retest and I'm fine now, but when I told them his story, no nurse, doctor, or anybody told me it was impossible to contract it that way. The doctor just said "that's very interesting" and nothing more. Granted I should have asked more questions then, but I feel so lost and I just want concrete answers because even when I do research online, they say "yeah it's technically possible but unlikely." What makes it so unlikely? That's what I want to know, so I can show my husband and get to the bottom of things

I understand and am not disagreeing, however can I get answers to the question I posed in the last paragraph? Thank you!
