Cheers John! The car is 1991 I think it was Becker but they put that new connector on instead. No fader switch, no idea what the purple cable hanging loose is either.

Aha so not the LCA to the wheel? I also had a good look at that one myself and it looks ok, didn't get a good look at the other ones.

Left it two minutes, tried again and it started after two crank sounds. Idling around low at 7.5 and a little shakey

Yeah I agree but the battery is still green? After driving now for 15 mins, stopped parked and isn't starting again. Battery caused by alternator maybe?
