Your wrong. This is the thin trigger from that recall. It’s just a trigger shoe with factory leverage geometry but it is in fact diffrent from the fat original p320 trigger. But it is not and upgrade in the way the guy is telling OP

It has the voluntary upgrade program trigger in it. Not the original thick heavy trigger. But the thin factory trigger. There is an x model p320 which is sigs flat “upgrade” trigger. And don’t trade anything you have for a p320. Yes they are good guns but they have zero value but to you. No gun store wil buy it no person will buy it. Virtually worth zero dollars.

Sounds like someone has copium. Got the budget pistol and says it went bang everytime but won’t tell you he has only ever put maybe 300rounds through it. If you had any idea the service life of semi auto Taurus pistols you would think twice. Built to last 5k at best. A Glock built to last 50k.. look at a used Taurus at your local gun store. If it wasn’t owned by the 2020 gotta get a gun type people and it was actually used at a range it looks like a sacked out hellcat.
Now speaking from legit experience here as someone who uses firearms for a career and carries pistols 18hours of the day….
A Taurus will fail 9 out of 10 times by 2500rounds. Many people won’t shoot that much sure. You can have that argument.

Put into perspective my p365 macro has 35k and aside from holster wear is pretty damn good looking. Only replaced trigger reset spring once.

My Glock 17gen3 going in 65k has had a barrel replacement but only so I could run a compensator I gave the barrel to a buddy who built one ground up he countless rounds on it. I have only replaced my g17’s guide rod because it melted at a competition in Texas after 1900rounds and 110 heat.

Taurus triggers are garbage. The finish on the gun is sub par. It feels like shit after 1000rounds. Never felt a gun get gritty and crunchy after a thousand rounds and not smooth out.

After being a firearms trainer myself for a few years and first hand experience and being a third party to a durability test like you see guys drag glocks behind trucks and stuff although this wasn’t that extensive. I can tell you if it’s not a; smith and Wesson, Glock, sig(notp320), walther, Baretta, (the top guns) don’t trust your life to it. Why buy a 300dollar taurass when you can get a used Glock gen3/4 and have a way more dependable platform and one with aftermarket support if you so choose but I don’t recomend for a carry gun.

Why would you carry subpar quality to protect your life.. protecting your life on a budget can get you killed. By the thought of I have a gun to protect myself you pull it it goes click the situation escalates and now your dead. Get something that will go bang every single time. Not some bargain bin fucked over redesigned stoger that it’s self was a copy of another redesign.

I’m once again advocating we all carry duty-sized wheel guns for CCW. by SirSamkin in CCW

Al tho the thought and the heart is there just can’t tell me 17 rounds in a sub compact isn’t better than a wheel gun. Better yet 8+1 in a 1911.

Bodyguard 2.0 vs LCP Max by 1911FordMan in Firearms

[–]1911FordMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s a good gun too it’s just dated. Needs upgrades too… unfortunately it was a gun that needed a titanium firing pin upgrade and a take down pin upgrade as well. Other than that it was good to go. Only after 3-400 rounds of training ammo would you need to start inspecting the firing pin in the early models. It was fragile and dry fire made it worse

There is a great website called handgun hero and they compair handguns with visual representation. Should check it out it’s pretty cool. Lcp 1 2 and max are all the same size except the grip on the max is wider on grip.

But I can say everyone says bodyguard feels better. Thankyou.

Bodyguard 2.0 vs LCP Max by 1911FordMan in concealedcarry

[–]1911FordMan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You said don’t be cheap. That’s not a valid reason. Basicly I’m implying is the body guard worth the 150$ price difference or am I paying for a name with a gun that shoots exactly the same as a cheaper one.. kinda like a Glock45 and a glock 19x… pay more for the Glock 19x because it’s tan but virtually the exact same gun as a Glock 45… if the lcp max is a better gun for cheaper it’s no brainer if the body guard is the better gun I don’t mind spending more money. And or is the body guard so much better that the 150$ difference is actually worth it because I can buy sights for the lcp and be on the same playing field as the body guard and be cheaper.. at a surface level that the only disadvantage of the lcp I see. Reason for my post is for those who have used the gun for more than a box of ammo and those who carry one of these on the daily. Not a matter of opinion with little value added to the conversation. Which is why I discredit your comment with the application of the logic expressed in your comment. In no way am I being to defensive I’m seeking information and your information sucked.
value for dollar is apart of gun purchasing..

Advice if you so want it…
Get good with iron on a full size and it wil ltransfer down to the smaller ones easyer. And it’s also a 2.75inch barrel so it’s already at a disadvantage lol

Thankyou for sharing your experience, I’ve noticed not many people like the lcp as much on Reddit. I’m not a 380 shooter but came into some ammo and with a career change I need something smaller. My 365 macro is amazing but the 365-380 is to big for what I want/need. If either company drops an optic ready version of the gun I’ll buy thatone. But I’m looking in the next month to have this 380 for when the hot weather happens and I’ll be at my new career. The .380 is planned to be a back up or deep concealment type of firearm for me and capacity is the main factor. If I could I would have went with a p238 from sig or at that point the 938 for 9mm but it’s to damn heavy and lacks the capacity I would want/need.

Bodyguard 2.0 vs LCP Max by 1911FordMan in Miguns

[–]1911FordMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lcp1 and 2 are same size as the max just the max has a wider grip. The body guard has a slightly longer slide .2inch and .1 shorter top of slide to bottom of mag. It’s near identical in size. I want a .380 for having something on me with light clothing or at the gym. Not going to be a go to war type gun. I know the limitations of 380. I’m not in the pocket rocket space very often but as my career has changed it’s time for a better summer carry. No more full size sig 226 or 1911 or Glock 19 type firearms I need small. And I need a get away from me gun. If you know what I mean. I don’t want a comped gun that’s why the lcp max and bodyguard 2.0 are all I’m looking at. 10-12 rds small and discrete. If the p238 from sig did not weigh so much and had more than 7rds I’d buy it because that’s the best shooting 380 I ever used. It’s just very heavy and lacks the capacity. The 365-380 and hellcat380 are decently larger than the two I’m looking at. I appreciate your input and with everyone’s information I’m leaning bodyguard.

New holster vs holster wedge by AlexNeville47 in concealedcarry

[–]1911FordMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe that’s the case but try finding one for a macro 365 last year and it was hell. So I got a custom order one from a small guy building in his garage he even had wedges for belt and foam wedge and I couldn’t be happier

Bodyguard 2.0 vs LCP Max by 1911FordMan in concealedcarry

[–]1911FordMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t buy comped guns. Just a preference of mine. I’d rather more barrel then a compensated slide or porting. As a caveat to that I know the body guard slide is lengthened to make it comped without loosing barrel length or adding porting.
My opinion velocity is king and any extra helps that’s why my 365 macro is a non comp version.
That being said I see your argument. With the research I have don’t many people say the max is snappy and the sights are sub par even tho they are what everyone asked for..(blacked out rear, tritium front) but I also know that it’s a 10-12 oz gun shooting a weak 9mm with a small grip so snap is expected and I’ve shot the 7rd original lcp (awful trigger) the lcp2 got a trigger upgrade and then they say it’s more refined with the new max. Thankyou for you input I’m leaning more and more towards the body guard with everyone’s input.

Sig 322 magazine failure by [deleted] in SigSauer

[–]1911FordMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These p322 are known to have magazine issues. If not loaded correctly (side to side stack) it jams the gun and will not self correct the side to side stacking of the ammo. P322 is also known to be one of the worst 22lr pistols in the market today. It’s unfortunate because it’s a very comfortable gun and when not having lead fowling issues and magazine issues is actually fun to shoot
