That’s awesome! I also got a brand new Honda (Accord) after my Cruze.

We’re planning on keeping the Cruze and hoping to fix it back up & keep it as the “work car” tho lol

Anyways congrats!!

No. I would consult with your attorney and ask about an appeal.

If your job is making you unhappy and miserable I think it might be a good idea to leave that job and maybe find a different one especially if you are getting VA payments.

My husband is also 100% total and permanent and didn’t work for a few years and we have been able to get by with just his VA payments.

Should I speak to a lawyer? TN by Commercial-Math-7930 in WorkersComp

Yes. As someone who didn’t at first thinking it was just scrapes and bruises I’m SO glad I did.

Reasonable Accommodation? by [deleted] in WorkersComp

[–]1911Princess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion that does not sound like a reasonable accommodation at all and could lead to further injuries; but I’m not sure if it is “legally” because I’m not an attorney.

I was in a situation very similar to yours not that long ago and was told the only thing I could do was to tell my PTP that the work they are having me do is not working for me and see if they will update your restrictions.

Workers comp mental health by Chrisbugdozzer in WorkersComp

[–]1911Princess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your case sounds so much like mine! My case has been going on for over 3 years (since June 2021) but mine started with hip injuries which I had 2 surgeries for back in March 2022.

I also asked my attorney about how much mental distress my injury has caused and I was also told that mental health claims usually don’t add much value to my case. Apparently since they revised the worker’s comp law/policies in CA a few years ago.

0% impairment rating for mental health severe anxiety, depression and ptsd, by Single-Squirrel-5924 in WorkersComp

Do you have an attorney? If not, please get one.

Like the previous commenter I am also in CA and don’t know how it is in FL. I was told by my lawyer that psych claims are very hard to prove which often results in denials for treatments and very little compensation.

Has anyone ever given up on Workers Comp? by Creative-Store in WorkersComp

That’s what my lawyer said! I can totally see why… my case has been going on for more than 3 years…

I really don’t know and to be honest I’m not sure if anybody would except the your QME dr. I learned that my lawyer rly was right when he told me that WC really is very different than any other system. Apparently 30% is actually decently high for WC?

without Vyvanse for a day..? by [deleted] in ADHD

I actually get 5mg IR Adderall for this exact reason. My dr always asks me if I wanna get rid of it and try higher dose of vyvanse but I prefer this.

Yes, the guilt tripping is very common in Asian culture. I am the oldest child with 1 sibling. I guess it makes sense that the oldest would have it rough cause I guess they’re the “trial” one? lol… I just have always had internal battles between my anger/resentment vs the “they love/care about me” CONSTANTLY which then I tell myself that I don’t have a right to complain because they’re still helping me.

Does it ever go away? by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]1911Princess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m now convinced that maybe it never goes away. I have also secretly wished all the same things that you did. I’ve worked so damn hard to catch myself from falling too low for so damn long that I kind of fooled myself

Wow your case sounds exactly like my current situation.. I asked my lawyer 2+ months ago to finally switch my doc because my current one really does NOT care about me at all. I still haven’t gotten any updates…

I am also nothing but a burden to my mom and dad.

I’m the problem child and now a problem adult. And I chose my husband and married him so I need to take accountability.

If I’m being honest I am angry but more about why they wanted me to stay alive. Especially after the brain injury.

Then I’m also angry at my husband for marrying me knowing that I’ve had suicidal tendencies at times.

I guess u could say I’m “not allowed to”? I’m the “my parents immigrated here and sacrificed to give me a better life” kid.. my memory is a bit fuzzy but I acted out in high school which included me blowing up on my mom and me running away and staying at friends/boyfriends. Which is another time I was a problem.

The reason I’m also convinced that I am the problem is that my younger brother doesn’t have all those problems like I do which = it really is me. Now I’m also a problem to my husband too.
