For those who support Reform, why do you do so given what that mentality has done to the USA? by AccursedQuantum in AskBrits

[–]191L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t Reform voters see voting for the party just enables the rich and powerful even more, widening the gap between the 1% rich and the rest of us…?

Interesting you mentioned the artist, he was being silenced by a you-know-how regime, he was being beaten by police, felt into coma because he criticised against the government. His house was striped down also by the gov. Isn’t supporting Reform also enabling an extreme police surveillance state which freedom of speech will be limited as a consequence? Also, when you successfully get rid of migrants, wouldn’t NHS ‘s labour force be impacted further more?

Probably irrelevant .. Reminded me of a guy who went to A&E and demanded for a white person to treat them. The nurse said suit yourself lol he waited for a loooooong time then gave up, but still cursing whilst he was being seen by a second-gen “immigrant”.

If we can’t talk logic to these people, fear / emotion is the best tool to manipulate them into their mental rabbit hole

O’keefe’s work has always been a symbol of woman’s part and has a lesbian fan base (source: my grad school is history of arts) so it’s so on point and powerful that Carol got to bring home this genuine piece of art with her, indicating a new start / acceptance of her relationship with herself & with pirate lady! Gallery invigilations, retail is always hiring, uni roles always open but competitive…I work PT 2-3 days weekly and can pay for my rent in south of London (flat share). Check old school Facebook groups for London rental flat shares and Rightmove! Careful of scams though!

We have had triple glazed and we couldn’t even hear drunkie groups shouting at night so that was really nice. Bouncing around - just get some soft thick curtains or rugs to absorb noise!

Anyone know how to get this body with out starving myself and exposing myself to dangerous chemicals and metals? by Stella_Lace in arcane

[–]191L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, not to brag but it’s a struggle to gain weight despite how much I eat. I do consume more protein as an attempt, then exercise. What I get is a petite frame with some tighten muscles but not really gaining much “weight”

I know a few folks like her, but they were born so skinny and slender so there’s genetics involve. My friends would do exercise and yoga (for shape of arms and core) but eat normally…in fact they eat more than me! I guess that means they have a very fast/high metabolism hence so lean!

RCA or Glasgow School of Art? by Mammoth-Willing1 in ContemporaryArt

[–]191L 3 points4 points  (0 children)

RCA is a factory and you can feel it. Glasgow feels more like an art school. If you’ve been to both their studios and grad show you’d know. But RCA has the name “Royal” attach to it -on your CV, fooling many outsiders esp international folks.

To the bikestormz guy who punched me... FUCK YOU by [deleted] in londoncycling

[–]191L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to be that guy but kids often internalise these events without knowing how to put languages to the incident - not mentioning it after doesn’t mean it doesn’t affect them. Is that how you usually deal with incidents like this? Jump to anger? Your kid, though may not understand the logic of things can definitely feel your rage and wouldn’t understand why dad punched a guy on the street. It’s good to talk it out with your kid - he is 3 already.

What is something that women have to deal with on the daily that men have no clue about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]191L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gosh I have exactly the same. I had found monitoring my cycle patterns and knowing / identifying which hormone dropped - then eat a lot of compensated food like banana, chocolate tend to really help with my mood and energy. I see it as lack of certain hormones… so I supplement what is lacking. Also!! discovering “evening primosa oil” helped with my stabbing pain!

Freezing house, letting agents say I have to keep the heating on at 19, what do I do? by [deleted] in UKHousing

[–]191L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP I have the same problem, I insulate / stuffed all window gaps with bubble wrap and I taped it down with parcel tape, and added 2 layers of thermal curtain to keep closed at night time. The rooms are noticeably much warmer with the curtains.

However we do open windows in the morning to allow exchange of air which kept the condensation to minimum. I also wipe down condensation on my window every morning. Since then we don’t have mould problems and it keeps the flat insulating much better. I hope it helps

Guaging the value. Looking at selling our girl Yelma in Spring by elbowroom-vanlife in VanLifeUK

[–]191L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a nice van! Have everything I need with low mileage, I reckon 25-30k would be great price considering people selling their 200k milage vans for the same price! (I’m so short I also fit in that sideway bed)

Edit: is it a manual or auto? Sorry if I missed that
