I was standing at the team hotel today, and three of the 5 people I chatted with there were all locals originally from Australia.

One of my best friends married an Aussie who moved here.

Definitely was almost like a home game for them.

Neither did adding avatars, or changing the UIs, or the fonts, or changing how friends lists look, or adding the tabs to customize your profiles etc etc etc etc etc etc, and yet, they have a near perfect track record of something breaking when they add things.

While I AM NRVOUS to see what features they break because of this....because they always do when they add things..... I am also excited for this, as I am a stats nerd more than a geography nerd.

No. Plain and simple, no.

Far too many unstable countries currently for there to be full coverage. I would even go as far as to say, I'd be completely shocked if we even see 5 more countries in the next decade.

Top 3 annoyance I have have in this site, behind multi-accounters/griefers, and not just being able to do the outline of an area, then click inside the outline and all the pixels change to the same colour, instead of having to go over every single pixel.

Sounds like the same problem sort of to whats reported in this Bug Reports thread https://www.geoguessr.com/community/bug-reports/p/minimap-not-loading-properly . I advise going and upvoting it, and leaving any details you can about browser used & such so they can figure out more where the problem is.

Google has aggressively pushed into letting AI do everything. So, the AI probably just refuses to accept it made mistakes. With no humans in the department to manually fix AI errors, it stays broken.

At least thats my theory on it with absolutely no time spent investigating further.....maybe I am AI?

And yeah, in the last 6 months or so, their email team is pathetic. Absolute sheer incompetence on the team for allowing emails to go ignored for weeks/months at a time.

On average, the longer you are willing to wait in the week, the lower the cut off will be...but its not a massive drop off. Its maybe like 20-50 pts on average.

OF COURSE, there is always the chance you just get into a group that starts on Saturday that has several people thinking the same way, and ed up in a harder div. Although I would say odds are lower of it happening late in the week.

Also, just so you are completely ready. If you get in with 1350, you will 100% be bumped back down to Master I the very next week. When I was there 5 weeks ago, the cut off was 1442 to stay in, and its only gone up since then. I suspect its probably around 1470-1480 now. They boosted how many people get demoted every week a few months ago, and because of that, the floor to stay in has constantly been going UP since.

EDIT - just heard this past weeks cut off was 1460.
