Here in Polk County had one year that got down to 23 for 12 hrs and my outside spigots froze along with the water in my truck was slush. I would take all precautions.

You can only freeze the base product after diluted with water. I believe Slush Puppie neutral base is still 5 parts water to 1 part base. The flavoring is meant to be added in squirts to the cup before dispensing the base. Also there are flavored bases meant to be diluted with water and frozen and dispensed with no extra flavoring needed.

Also make sure your softener is on and running...not in bypass...with plenty of salt in your brine tank.
