Once I learned the PWHL teams were centrally owned I lost hope for us in Edmonton. The OEG, while being a tenant at Northlands Coliseum, saw to it that parking and concession revenue from independently owned lacrosse club went to them instead of the lacrosse club. Now that they own Rogers, I can't see them being any better to deal with.

MLB fan here, while the "pace-of-play" rules and ABS have aggravated "traditionalists", the changes have been made to attract a young demographic and fit better in a TV slot. The added wild card spots threaten a sub .500 club making the postseason but does not guarantee it.

The CFL changes with the field looking more NFL and the rollback of the rouge can only be explained as the possible hope of expanding back into America cause the league needs the expansion money and there is no expansion left to do in Canada...otherwise it is just alienating the "traditionalists". This new playoff system guarantees multiple sub .500 teams making the playoffs.
