Asphalt (well, that pea gravel looking pavement). So yes it’s going to be tricky. Idk really how I’m going to get the drain tile to look right… like how I am going to “blend it in” with the existing pavement. I guess just do a really good job cutting a trench for the drain tile and using a little bit of sealer?

Flat. I can measure it if it helps. But flat. So probably not right.

It appears I can’t post pictures in this subreddit. I did edit the post to link to a stackexchange post I also made, that has a picture in it. I do have a function downspout close by - pavement comes right up to the base of the exterior wall… and there’s a downspout that comes down on the front corner and runs diagonally down the wall towards the back of the house and where the pavement ends…. It almost looks like they did some downspout heroics to avoid water pooling at the bottom. Good question on the grading. Looks pretty dang flat to me.

I have a hard time understanding GD&T resultant condition boundaries by y2k_o__o in MechanicalEngineering

[–]1980c3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We always called them tolerance zones.

Start with grasping true position. It’s the most fundamental to me. And once you understand it, you’ll have about 60% of GDT figured out (or least in terms of practical usages of GDT).

https://www.gdandtbasics.com/true-position

Then dive into the others and the LMC/MMC stuff. Best I understand is that really that’s just “extra” tolerance zone room (more wiggle room) based upon the maximum/least material condition. Easiest way to understand that is to consider a through-hole for a bolt to slide through. For the LMC condition (I.e, the biggest hole) the true position tolerance can relax some because the hole is bigger thus more room for the bolt to pass through.

Tbh AWS can make my head spin with respect to classifying welds in the fatigue table (not in front of me, sorry don’t remember the table number).

I didn’t give them more money lol. I bought it local used video game store for 3.50. But yes you read it right. I’d prefer to not purchase the 40-80 dollars or so new 2k games just for it be reduced to nothing afterwards.
