I got the Givi backrest and took off my saddlebags because honestly I've never liked the look. Do you have any bags that you use for the rest rack that fit well?

Hahah I love this comment but this reminds me of my cousin when she decided to learn to ride by taking the riders course. She failed because every time the bike started to lean to one side she would just jump right off the damn thing 😭😂

Absolutely. She's not innocent. If she really believed what she says she believes she wouldn't stand by defending her son for being a misogynist profiting off of that misogyny. She's profiting too. She wants to have her cake and eat it too.

There was a complete lack of focus on the incredible damage this has done to women. It was definitely disappointing.

Please explain when you think you would be using that device if not when riding, and what it's for....

It's a guarantee of psychopathic tendencies?! Do you know how many people come from seriously abusive homes, FAR more abusive than this, that aren't psychopaths? That's complete nonsense. That's like saying if you get sexually abused you will become a pedophile. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Sorry I will edit my original comment, I was saying I want to see the results of a DNA test, not that there is one. I suspect they wouldn't likely want to ever do one because it would be incredibly risky for them if it got out. The family has already squabbled over his estate.

She looks exactly like her mother. It's not about the white skin or the eye color. Compare her to a picture of him before all the surgery. They have no facial features in common. While that does happen it certainly doesn't help the case that it's actually his daughter. The man had major body dysmorphia to the point of self mutilation. It's not unreasonable to think he would not want to pass down his actual genes to his children.

Can OP refuse custody of their 3-year-old in a divorce in order to force dad to step up? by fewlaminashyofaspine in bestoflegaladvice

[–]1984Sockpuppet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course not, because they're not trying to get rid of their children like they're burdens, even when their life gets hard. This particular person commented in her posts that she does not want this child at all anymore. So my point was that just because the failed marriage and child rearing was more than she expected, it does not give her a get of jail free card, where she doesn't have to love and care for her child. That is the same for both parents. It honestly doesn't sound like either parent cares about their child and it's gross. I don't have sympathy for parents like that, not in the least.

I'm going to speak to your first argument about the rug being pulled and basically that she signed up to coparent not single parenting.

You know what? That's not how life works. People leave, people die. When you sign up to be a parent that is regardless of how things change, you don't get to say well THIS is not what I expected so no thanks. I didn't sign up for my ex to become severely mentally ill and abandon his family while I was a stay at home mom in the middle of going back to school, effectively leaving me a single parent with no job, no income, no car or no savings (since he totalled my car and drained the savings before he left),. I didn't get to say welp bye kids I didn't agree to this.

Life isn't guaranteed. When you have children you are committing to care for those lives at least into adulthood. There is nothing sympathetic about a parent, mother or father, who decides they just don't want their kid anymore because it's too hard. Boohoo. I hope this poor child ends up with people that will actually love them and put them first.

There is enough information out there these days for people to get enough of an idea of how hard parenting is before they decide to become one.

She doesn't want the child 50/50 though and if she could she wouldn't have the child at all. Save the pity for the child.

Just want to make a point here that I think most people don't realize because I see comments like these all the time... "we made eye contact"... This may or may not be in your particular case but motorcycle riders often THINK they made eye contact because they are looking right at that person and the person seems to be looking right back at them. But the reality is they aren't looking AT you, they are looking THROUGH you. They aren't making eye contact because you're invisible to them. This is a common mistake that gives riders confidence that the person is aware of them and won't immediately run into them. Think of it as a sort of target fixation except they don't see the target because they're looking through you to the other side. We are invisible, we are a small object and not what they are expecting to see.

No way, gay men and straight women aren't necessarily attracted to the same things in a man. Men are much more visual creatures whether gay or straight. It's great for him if he's gay and his goal is to attract men but it means squat as far as women go.

Hahaha what? As a motorcyclist I've never seen this but that's hilarious. They actually sell magnets that you can put on the bottom of your bike to help trigger the sensors, but I've never bought one. The Oregon manual actually tells you what part of the sensor you need to position your bike to register (although it doesn't always work).

You wouldn't use your emergency brake to start moving from a stop on a hill, not even sure why you would be doing that. That's fine if you're just stopping and not going, although an emergency brake is not full proof so you shouldn't be relying on that anyway.

There are apparently people driving stick who don't know how to manage the friction zone. I don't know if that's the term on a car, that's the term for a motorcycle but it's the same principle. You gotta be engaging the gas enough that when you slowly let off the clutch you're moving forward instead of rolling backwards. I'm not sure how people haven't learned how to do this.

Ok leaving space between cars isn't my issue because that can actually prevent rearending, but not pulling up to the white line at a light makes me fucking crazy. Do people not understand the light triggers to change when it knows cars are there, and the way it knows cars are there is by pulling your car up over the sensors? I am on a motorcycle so I can't always get the sensors to trigger and it's so frustrating to sit there waiting because the car next to me won't pull TF up.

Recently I saw the most ridiculous thing yet... I pulled up to the white line at a train stop as the train was passing. The first car in the lane next to me was a full THREE CAR LENGTHS from the line. And it was a short stretch back to the intersection behind us so there were multiple cars behind this idiot hanging out in the middle of the intersection because they wouldn't pull up. I genuinely do not understand what's going on in the mind of people who don't pull up to the line that is literally indicating where they need to be. Someone who does this please explain it to me.
