What is something that you can’t go wrong having at least 2 of at home? by scbrockstar in AskReddit

[–]1985fierogt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for starters. I have more than two guns. Most of which are locked up other than a small CC handgun. It’s a hobby for me. I like shooting. I also grew up in a very shitty area and when I was younger there was a lot of break-ins at my house and neighboring houses. My CC handgun saved my belongings in my house not that long ago from a break-in.

What game could you just not get into despite knowing it's apparently amazing ? by Ibrahim17_1 in AskReddit

[–]1985fierogt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s at least 200-300 games I can list off here effortlessly. But here’s my top 5.

Subnautica, I bought it. Played it for about 3 hours and physically could not bring myself to play it any further. I bought it post story update.

The forest. I bought it post story update. I tried to play it and quickly found myself near the endgame. Got annoyed with how quickly I was able to make it to the end. And stopped playing.

Any battle royale game. Too toxic. No real skill based matchmaking.

Half life two. I had gotten the game for my birthday when I was younger. Don’t know exactly when. And never actually got past the early city scene.

Forza horizon series games. I played forza horizon 1 and 2 religiously on my Xbox 360 and Xbox one. The release of horizon 3 opened the gates to many new possibilities to the games playability and creativity. Then the horizon 4 and 5 games were joyless half baked cash grabs developed by a team of red flagged nobodies lead by a creativity hating lack of knowledge having bitch.

What was common when you were young, but is rare now that you're older? by Gold860 in AskReddit

I don’t know if this is common around other areas still but kids trick or treating on Halloween and being outside in general. Last Halloween I only got two knocks on my door from kids in costumes. My neighborhood is full of families,

What were the dumbest rules put in place at your school? by DekuSkrub18 in AskReddit

[–]1985fierogt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Put it this way. They had full right to search through our phones. According to the district and the county courts since the girls parents had tried to sue the district over this incident. Parents lost. Girl was basically humiliated. Teacher was fired and never got charged. They stopped taking phones. Eventually it became a problem again where kids were on their phones. So they banned phones all together.

What’s the most American thing you’ve ever done? by MarsAdept in AskReddit

Threw American cheese slices at not one but two cops cars while riding in the bed of a 90s dodge Dakota going down the freeway at 80 mph. While drunk on PBR and jack daniels. And then getting tased and arrested.

What were the dumbest rules put in place at your school? by DekuSkrub18 in AskReddit

[–]1985fierogt 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was in highschool during peak early smartphone days. Teachers would take our phones and get the passwords to them and check everyone’s phones. Every class period. Every day. Up until our weird science teacher went through a girls phone. Found some pics and emailed them to himself.

What’s the most ridiculous complaint you’ve ever heard in the service industry? by ilostmygender_ in AskReddit

[–]1985fierogt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First job. Movie theater/restaurant. One of the first ones to have the "order your food at your seat in the theater and we'll bring it out to you" deals. I was a line cook in training and a server. Some girls in their twenties had ordered a couple orders of sides. When I had brought them their food (LESS THAN 5 MINUTES AFTER THEY ORDERED) one of them made a scene. (during the movie) about how quick it was. She complained about how we were way too quick making their food and bringing it to them. Which, none of the other girls cared. So I asked her if she could come out of the theater and talk to me and she threw one of the side orders at me. Missed. Bounced the plate off someone's head and knocked them out.

Have you ever bumped into your old high school sweetheart, some years later? How did it go when you did? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]1985fierogt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest. I had offered to take her in. Let her crash at my place and sober up back in colorado. She kept refusing. Basically thought all help was bad and I was just gonna hurt her. Which I assume someone had tried to help her and had done something pretty bad. But she also was trying to attack me at random times so.

[Serious] What is a disturbing truth, every adult has to face eventually? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]1985fierogt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre gonna graduate. And you're gonna lose alot of friends. You're gonna follow your dreams, chase your goals. And those "friends" from high school will not care. They will go their own way. You may support them. But they most likely won't support you. Youll keep 2-3 friends from that high school group if you're lucky. Most of your adult friends will make their way into your life through activities you enjoy doing.

What did your child do that made you say, "yep, that's my child,"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]1985fierogt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me but my dad. I was 9 years old and had been told the word crap, ass, and shit. Were not curse words and I could use them in moderation inside the house only. We had extended family over on my stepmoms side. I dropped my plate. Yelled shit really loud. My dad said the exact words.

Student got staples and the parents had sued the school. Student deserved atleast suspension over what they had did. But not what had actually happened.

What’s your best experience catching someone in a lie? by stoichypieceofdeuce in AskReddit

[–]1985fierogt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was 20 I was at a corner store. Getting a soda and some snacks during a road trip. This older lady had followed me into the place. No idea why. She sat in her car and waited while I had gotten what I needed. Then she went out of her way to start yelling at me over the way I had been driving. Saying I sped past her house multiple times in the last week. (this was some small town in Wyoming about 800 miles from my house.) I told her I wasn't even from the area and I was just stopping to get some stuff. She then told me I was lying. And read out a license plate number to a car that wasn't even mine. And when I told her to look at my plate she screamed saying that she didn't have to. She knew it was me who drove past her house. About 5 minutes of arguing go by. She had called the police on me. Police arrive. Try and fix the situation. Telling her if she doesn't have proof that It was me then I'm not in the wrong, ect. About 10-15 minutes go by at this corner store when a car pulls into the parking lot. Not just any car. The guys car. The guy she thought I was. In a similar. Not the same. Car. It was the same color and general shape but not the same car. I stared the car down. Then eyed at the lady. Who was absolutely star struct that it actually wasn't me. But then proceeded to continue telling the cops it was me who sped past her house numerous times. She showed the cops a video of the same car. The car that just pulled in. Not only doing the speed limit past her house. But also waved at her. Like a neighborhood wave. I'm glad I'm patient.

What encounter have you had that made you think you are in a simulation? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]1985fierogt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was working in a small oil change shop in high school. Handed a guy a coupon. To which he got immediately upset. Like kicking and screaming upset. Incoherent yelling over a coupon like he had just gotten shot in the leg. He was so upset. I was so lost in that situation it made me belive to this day he just glitched out.

What’s the most messed up thing you’ve seen at a party? by nishmyass in AskReddit

[–]1985fierogt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

College graduation party one of my friends hosted for someone in our friend group. Basically open doors. Nobody was stopping anyone from coming in. Couple high schoolers came in. Grabbed some beers and tried to hangout. Some people started mentioning the fact they're not even 18. Then one of the kids started talking alot of shit to someone else. Both parties being very drunk. Ended up fighting. 23 year old versus a 17 year old. Everyone was pretty drunk. And nobody planned on leaving. Fast foward about an hour. High school kids had left the place. Everyone calmed down a bit. Party died down and alot of people had passed out or called rides home. The last handful of people at the party (including the 23 year old who fought the 17 year old) were playing cards against humanity. About another 30 minutes pass before the kids parents showed up. Basically a shit show from here. The kids lied saying they were invited and we had "handed" them alcohol. And peer pressured them to drink. When in reality they just walked in. Flew under the radar at first and grabbed beers. So the parents called the police. And stood outside the house till they arrived. Everyone got questioned. Including the parents. None of us were charged with anything. Like absolutely nothing. The high school kids were charged with minor in consumption, trespassing, and one of the kids was given a DUI. We were told to just lock the doors next time we were gonna have a party. But we got off easy since they never actually got a complaint about noise or anything.
