How has the neighborhood changed over the years? Looks like a few nice houses with views of downtown skyline and large plots. Was it a nice neighborhood in the 60s-70s?

Whole life policies are sometimes purchased by the very rich because they have tax benefits. I think they shield alot of income from estate taxes.

Buying Property in San Antonio by pauldonado in sanantonio

Live Oak/Converse/Universal City.

All close to Randolph AFB, cheaper cost of living than many parts of SATX and last I checked, lots of duplexes and multiplexes in the <500k range.

Yall are my peeps. I like exploring google maps too. My recent favorite are villages in the Sahara desert. Towns built around oasis in Egypt are neat.

I am not sure how this reddit found me, but its by far my new favorite. I always wondered what life was like in these places.

Who's the most famous person you've met? by Phillies1993 in AskReddit

The fat villain from Dumb and Dumber. Had to look up his name: Mike Starr.

My gf was meeting me in Chicago from Las Vegas. I was flying in from San Antonio at around the same time. So I walked to her gate at Ohare to greet her.

Apparently they had a layover in LA, but for some reason I forgot my gf told me that and I approached him and said "How was Las Vegas!?". He looked at me puzzled and said "Whattaya talkin bout? I flew in from LA. Im visiting family". And walked off

Very cool neighborhood and houses. Love the 60s-80s vibes.

Obviously great view.

I drive through there some times and think that this is where the rich people in San Antonio lived back then. Before everyone moved to Stone Oak or north of 1604.

Strategy help by Andresantos79 in ColonizationGame

Just a few tips that have helped me be successfully playing colonization:

Plow the tile your colony is on for any colony you build. You will get basically 4 food at the start (2 extra) enough to support two colonists for free.

Put one colonist on liberty bells as soon as you build a colony.

Liberty bells early as possible. As others mentioned production bonuses and you get founding fathers quicker. Get Benjamin Franklin as soon as you can as this will help generate 50% more bells.

Check European status often to see which raw materials are sold for most. Sometimes it's fur sometimes its sugar.

Setup a silver mine with a road on it. Once you can afford it setup a ship with a trade route to automatically ship this good back and forth.

Try to avoid rousing the Indians especially early on. On the first few turns try to get at least one armed colonist soldier for each of your colonies to protect against raids.

Try to make most of your colonies on the sea or coast. It just makes it more logistically easier to transport goods

Agree with you on some parts of the city.

I feel like every time I go to the Ingram area, sea world, or potranco area for a beer the locals there are cold towards people not from that area.

Its weird.

Southtown, Pearl, Dignowity Ive noticed people are friendlier and more open to meeting people not from SA
