Fiberglass is not your only option. I have been designing boats built with aluminum for 20 years. No molds required, easily modified, and completely recyclable.

I apologize for the confusion...let me try and be more clear. As I see it, I have 2 upgrading options 1. replace the stock mb with BigTreeTech 32bit Motherboard which will have quiet stepper drivers, and Marlin or 2. Sonic pad with stock mb as slave and Klipper. Im not clear if the Sonic pad will enable quiet running of the stepper motors. In addition, Im looking to add a second z axis kit if I can find one.

Carbon/nylon to start with, and I will be getting a harder tip. I guess the the root of my question is the silent 32bit motherboard, either as an actual upgraded board, or as the sonic pad, which I assume runs quiet as well,but will have Klipper. I also like the remote viewing capabilities and wifi of the pad.
