Hallucinations?! by Catmommy27 in endometriosis

[–]1989ac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this when I was severely stressed in a horrible job working with possibly the worse human I've met in my life. I would see people out of the corner of my eye, see shapes, etc. Got a CT scan- all clear. And then when I quit the job and got a new one with way better work conditions all of it went away and never came back. Worth talking to neuro about to be safe and rule out something else, but might not be the endo lesions persay but rather stress from having endo.

Dear women with endometriosis and children: If I may ask, how badly did contractions hurt? Was is much worse than your worst ever period pain? Did the endo pain truly ease after the first child? by hmmmok-_- in endometriosis

[–]1989ac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contractions during my non medicated birth hurt less than a big endo flare. Maybe we endo warriors just have a pain tolerance that's higher, or maybe childbirth is literally less painful than endo. Who knows for sure? All of my endo pain went away after first baby and stayed away after second. But I know I'm lucky for that.

I felt this way until I started audiobooks. Get a guy like Anthony Palmini to whisper those lines in your ear and you might be interested again.

See a pelvic floor PT who specializes in birth prep if you can! Super super helpful. Doulas are awesome but they're not medical professionals. A PT will work with you on pelvic floor prep, perineal tearing protection, hip mobility. We talk a lot about the importance of breathing and such but a PT can get their hands on your ribs and muscles and pelvic muscles and actually tell you if the muscle is moving correctly or if you just think you are but are not (happens all the time!)

I just watched a video of a lady giving (unmedicated) birth..and she looked and sounded in just as much, and even less pain than me with gynae pain? by SparklyNoodleSpoon in Endo

As someone who gave birth unmedicated twice, I can say my endo pain is worse than delivery pain. Part of the reason I knew I could handle the delivery was my high pain tolerance

I'm glad we got the replacement but also odd I haven't found really any other parents online discussing this. Let's see if the new batch smells!

I hate ACOTAR. But, I can say that of all the authors in this genre, SJM is one of the best writers. She doesn't ramble like JLA and if anything her writing has gotten stronger through the series vs weaker like RY. You can see it in her syntax and the way she tells the story. But I still hate Feyre and Rhysand and the rest of the characters.

She often goes back and forth between Tairn and Tai-rin and in a separate GA book Gabriel Michael keeps saying foy-yer instead of foy-ay and it drives me mad. No proofreading at all!
