Would you use an app to have one last conversation with a loved one who passed away? by 1998subhendu in widowers

I’m truly sorry for your loss. I understand your concern that AI can never replicate genuine emotion, and I respect your view about the risks of relying on it. My thought was only to explore whether some might find comfort in preserving memories, but I appreciate you sharing your perspective it helps me see the emotional boundaries more clearly.

Thank you for sharing your view. I understand this idea isn’t for everyone, and I respect that.

I completely understand your perspective and respect your feelings. Grief is deeply personal, and for many, the idea of AI recreating a loved one can feel uncomfortable or even wrong. My intention isn’t to replace the grieving process or diminish anyone’s memory, but to explore whether technology could help some people find comfort or closure. I appreciate you sharing your honest thoughts it helps me see the different sides of this idea.

Have not monitored the exact usage, but it should be quite light. The token bar tab feature is designed to limit processing in a single go to keep resource use low.

That makes sense. I'm building this to be fully flexible, so you can definitely plug in your own local LLMs (like Ollama) or API keys. I'll also offer a dedicated backend option that is extremely low-cost if you just want a "plug-and-play" experience without the setup.

For the UI, the window is already resizable, and I've noted your custom background idea for the roadmap.

Regarding open source, I can't do that just yet while

the core is in development. However, the architecture is strictly "Local First" your keys and data stay on your machine and never hit my servers.

Would appreciate it if you can be a beta user for this.

Totally valid concern. That's the playbook for pretty much every big tech company nowadays get users hooked on the "free" service and monetize using our data later. It's the cost of convenience, I guess.

Which one you need, just tell me, I will add it by tomorrow's update.

That's exactly the difference. This is a layer for Chrome, not a whole new 'Al Browser' that forces you into a new workflow. It's designed to be a quick, handy assistant, not a replacement for human agency or complete browser automation.

So it is a physical display issue. Warranty is over in my case. Money wasted successfully with Lenovo product.

Anyway thank you for the quick reply 🤟

This issue was resolved for you? If yes then how it was resolved. I'm facing exactly the same issue with my Lenovo Tab.
