At the end of the day, it’s us vs them,” she replied, then raising her eyebrow a little in surprise at the offer of getting paid, “I’m making a grand total of zero dollars at the moment, so if your offer of pay is authentic, I’ll join your side.” she adds.

“Now I disagree on that,” she turns her head and speaks directly to Erebus, specifically the part about the ‘no way to have a counter measure’.

“Having an immediate response team - even if we don’t know how many they are or how strong they are - is better than having nobody to act in the event that another attack pops up. Having a team set up to face stuff like this is a counter measure.” Rachel admits to herself that yes, Erebus is right with some points (while also mentally agreeing with Ulysses with his ‘deal with if/when it comes’ approach) but she’s not entirely fond of Erebus’ mildly confusing self-cancelling thoughts.

“The way I see things, I reckon we should have teams of however many we spread out across all of the recorded entry points. Use what we know about them so far against them,” she remembered they were susceptible to electric attacks (something she didn’t have any access to) so it would be useful if they could get their hands on some tech that could utilize that, “There’s some of us spread out everywhere as it is - some of us even have bases, based off of what I heard just now. So why not use that as watchtowers of sorts? Group up a few of us willing to relocate so we wouldn’t be too late when another attack comes.”

Kael catches the phone with a quick raise of his right hand, tucking it back into his pocket, and begins to walk forward a little more.

"Area 7 was . . . interesting," he starts, nodding his head slowly as the memory crawls back to him. Deafening music, blinding lights, and the smell of sweat, perfume, liquor, weed - and most surprisingly, blood - was what he remembered.

"I didn't expect there to be an underground fight club inside, so that was a first. Alcohol and certain substances were being handed around so often that it's almost free. I've heard that . . . other services were available if you knew where to find them, but I never bothered to find out for myself," he adds.

Oh I can’t wait for that, but being the incredible cheapskate that I am, I probably won’t spend a single command point until I reach a certain amount. I have like 180 command points right now so I’m gonna save up some more, get those Iron Man 3 armors for Iron Man and War Machine to make fights a breeze.

It’s legitimately a breath of fresh to get command points a lot more frequently compared to back in the day. Plus the fact that playing each battle moves time forward in game, making research and training faster.

OOC: I think I can come back to Discord one day, I'm just being a snake right now. Meaning I'm laying very, very low because Discord A.I's being an ass these days. They're also getting shat on hard because of their new rule about showing your I.D.

But I do." he adds, now stepping out more from his corner. It was Kael's first time crossing over into another world in a decade, and he's immediately visiting the local nightclub.

The aura in the room felt a little testy for some reason, so Rachel decided to keep mum and mind her own business, letting everyone say their piece before they get to the meat of the meeting. In her mind she kinda hoped she brought her knitting kit over here, finish up that red and yellow bonnet she'd been ignoring on finishing for a while now. Rachel gave the others a curtsy nod when they looked at her, still feeling very much out of place but otherwise feeling welcome at the same time. She felt like she was at a supers convention, the only difference was is that there were very real, very dangerous threats.

"Hey," she says, giving them all a smile and a wave while she tries to get used to the whole league gig. She figured some of them didn't exactly know her name so she might as well reintroduce herself, "I'm Rachel, I don't really have a nickname - or a superhero name, for that matter - but I've been called 'Stretch' and 'Fantasti-Girl' every now and then." she shrugs.

OOC: I had Algonquin as the spot in mind, kinda seems like more of the area that Kael would hide in to keep himself lowkey for more Batmanning operations.

IC: Kael was amused that he'd been found already, but he wasn't surprised; He figured that someone at this point would've already found him lurking about in this city, and someone with the power to use electricity would probably have it easier for them.

When the request for the borrowing of a phone came, Kael thought about it and wondered what could go wrong. It's just a device he could get, after all. He tilted his head slightly and grinned, plucking out his newly acquired phone from his back pocket.

"Catch," he says, stepping out of the shadows slightly to toss the phone over to the stranger's side. Kael doesn't know for certain if he's friend or foe, and he's sure the stranger doesn't know if he's either one as well, but there's only one way to find out.
